Weird, maybe eBay are going to introduce some kind of subscription like Prime, imposing a fee upon buyers for each purchase can't be feasible right?

What happens to the ones already listed at 70% or 80% and are going to finish in a few days time.  Will they be free of FVF or will they be at 70%/80%?
There are a couple with a lot of watchers - do I end and relist or let it go?
It suggests you need to list them within the new 300 listing period, as until they are listed under the new rules they will attract the previous FVFs
Soolin,  I sold something this afternoon from the 70% time - I hadn't got round to deleting and relisting it again.  Upon checking the payment, no fees have been deducted.

So if youre a private seller and opt for the Globbal shipping programme.  Does this mean that you will pay ebay fees on the sale?

    Waiting for the catch……😀
Thinking as a seller with no fees I will potentially be happy with a slightly lower selling price so buyers should benefit!

That’s brilliant. I just turned my holiday listings off after being away for a while planning to sort it all out tomorrow, and immediately sold something that’s been listed for a couple of months- and no fees at all charged.

I did press the 'AI' button as I was curious, I didn't like it so did my own description but interestingly if you press it, delete the wording and press it again then it gives a different description.
I use AI quite a bit on various other projects, what they use on Ebay is terrible but I think they've just poorly set it up.

One thing I tend to use AI for is to embellish descriptions a bit. So I'll put in a lot of information, size, composition, place of manufacture, etc and then ask it to structure it and then edit it. I have a lot of variations of a product that are listed separately so it can work quite well on that. I use Chat-GPT and paste it over to marketplace listings. It's pretty good at getting keywords in the descriptions which can be handy.

My guess would be some kind of charge on processing credit card/bank payments, with the aim of encouraging people to list and sell and then keep the money like in a PayPal balance. I'd also expect to see withdrawing money get harder, so ebay keep hold of it for longer....
