- Relists and renewals: When your existing listings are automatically renewed or relisted, we don't charge the listing fee again, and the renewal or relist won't count against your free listings allocation. If you choose to manually relist your item, it'll count against your free listings allocation, or we'll charge a listing fee if you've used up your monthly allocation
If I list something and it comes out of my 300 allowance, so its completely free to sell, if it doesn't sell and auto relists after 31 days, I understand it doesn't come out of the 300 allowance again, but is it still free of all fee's?0 -
I have just done a load of relisting and all were completely free.0

Some more info......
“eBay is constantly improving the marketplace experience in order to deliver on what our customers want,” said Kirsty Keoghan, GM of eBay UK. “Removing selling fees across categories is designed to give buyers access to greater breadth and depth of inventory, while creating a simplified and streamlined experience for sellers.”
Improving the marketplace experience for both sellers and buyers
After eBay Germany removed selling fees last year, C2C volume in Germany returned to positive growth, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars of incremental GMV relative to our prior trajectory. Plus, not only did more people start selling on eBay, but more than 250,000 sellers started buying—and they ended up buying twice as much as buyers who don’t sell, illustrating how free selling drives holistic growth. eBay UK has also already seen positive results since its launch of free fashion selling and AI-powered listings in April of this year, with a double-digit increase in listings for popular items such as jeans, shirts, and dresses.
eBay is further supporting its community of hundreds of thousands of business sellers with new exclusive features. These include enhanced seller protections and free 1:1 support with seller clinics to give sellers easy access to growth support. Alongside pre-existing programmes such as Pro-Trader and Start-up Scale-up, business sellers have access to a suite of bespoke tools to help scale up their businesses.

now as theres no selling fees even relisted items will be FVF free. i do find this aspect crazy. all i can assume is ebay will be better/quicker at forcing high volume "private sellers" on to business quicker.0 -
In terms of listings auto relisting after the monthly period, unless you are listing more than 300 things it is better to end them and relist manually as you will get a small boost in the search results, in comparision listings that sit there for months on end without a sale go stale and sink in the results, in fact if you list less than 150 items I would do this twice a month with one manual relist being just before payday weekend.

What happens to the ones already listed at 70% or 80% and are going to finish in a few days time. Will they be free of FVF or will they be at 70%/80%?
There are a couple with a lot of watchers - do I end and relist or let it go?0 -

if you "re-list" it stays deep in the listings but anyone who has it on their "watch list" would still have it in their list?
i always thought "sell similar" was better for new coverage.0 -

i always thought "sell similar" was better for new coverage. When a listing ends, for any reason, it stays on the watch list but goes to the bottom, if a listing is renewed using "re-list", when anyone looks at the ended listing there is a link saying "the seller has re-listed, see new listing" (or similar wording) so that in respect it can be easier for people who missed an item they were watching to add it back to their watch list.Years ago there used to be problems with using "re-list" and listings beig attached to a listing promotion, advice fom CS was to use "sell similar" as this creates a completely new listing from scratch where as "re-list" would carry over some data from the ended listing. How it all works these days is anyone's guess really, I've always used "sell similar" and notice an up tick in sales when a bunch of listings are ended and put back up with "sell similar"Probably doesn't apply to most here but if you are business and have a listing that has good sales then the sales themselves will keep the listing up the search results so the above is aimed at people selling one off items where a listing has a single QTY (or a multi-QTY listing that hasn't sold anything for a while). If a listing has a lot of watchers you might want to keep that interest in the listing, or better yet send an offer before ending and putting it up again to see if anyone bites. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
