yep i just went to collect one i had reserved and got one of the new model as a substitute:D even better deal.halfords price £180 argos £66:money:

might be a good idea to find a store with only 1 left(check argos website),guess they would start substituting when last years model was gone so the less they have left the more chance of the latest model being used as a sub.(well it worked for me anyway)

Managed to get the substitute Kenwood KDC-W4031 today. I asked the cashier to make sure it was the W4031 and I think there was only the one in stock. Installed it as soon as I got home and it sounds great.. definatly worth the £66 I paid for it! Also comes with 12 months free theft warranty from Kenwood. I cant find the original thread that this was posted in so I'll thank the other guy.. much apprcated!

Redfox - thats the one - thanks for finding it - sorry mods for thinking that it had been deleted for some reason.

I've had a good listen to my new 4031 today and I'm extremely pleased with it - superb bit of kit for the money.

  • I bought the Tevion / Aldi mP3 unit and managed to install it without any problems.

Has anyone had any problems with playing MP3's - on some recordings I get small but audible 'farts' (apologies about the analogy but it describes the problem quite well)

I have repeat played the MP3's tracks and the 'fart' happens in the same places. So I thought maybe a back recording so I checked them on my PC and I was fart-free.

I am now checking out the bps rate- thinking it maybe that 128 semms okay but higher (192-256) I suspect maybe my problem - rather than the player?

    Anyone else experienced this?

I tried installing mine but it's much harder than I expected and I had to give up. Anyone recommend a proper installer in the Bracknell area?

Ive got one from ALDI last week, at 50notes I thought it was a bargain
Ive got a Ford and I have to get new wiring and new faschia, total cost is around £28
added cost which I didnt expect, so if u got a motor, double check the connectors

But the argos one looks good, a much better brand name at £16 more, thanks boatman and others for the links

I might just go back to ALDI, get my money back and get the Kenwood! I may still need to get the extras but kenwood is a very good make.

Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.
