Some days are better than others for Dad , he is a good cook so he is eating ok . The night times are the worst he says , as even though he always watched tv upstairs after about 7.30pm he knew my mum was downstairs. He is quite confused sometimes as well and he asks me the same things two or three times . I am worried about him and I do go everyday to see him for a few hours , only time will tell how he gets on.

"I keep waking up with a headache every morning, am sure it's just tension but it's taking me ages to get going to get going."

Rather than tension this could well be dehydration as that certainly causes headaches. Could you try drinking a glass of water shortly before bedtime to see if that improves things?

Finally have an appointment for the register office tomorrow afternoon. Then the work begins with the financial institutions, which I am not looking forward too.

Took Dad off to RHS today seeing as it was so nice , he enjoyed being outside as much as me . My car needed a new tyre so just had that done .

I got some good YS bargains in M@S at weekend mostly GF ones .

My youngest DGC are back at school today but eldest is off another week , so we are going bowling tomorrow morning. I am pleased he still wants to do things with me .

Bowling and lunch went well with DGS . Took Dad to a hospital appointment on the other side of the big town ( mum used to do these ) . It went well and no appointment now for 6 months . Friday was school , always a pleasure . Received a call from the funeral directors saying they needed another form signing so that was a quick trip there . Then in for a hair appointment, my hairdresser has had a new hip but luckily her partner is a hairdresser as well so he did it . He is ok as well and it’s kind of him to step in .

Dad is trying to get a routine of his own going , today he wanted to go shopping himself so he will be on the early bus . Dad admits that he is more sad as he never thought he would outlive mum . He is mostly easy going and is very independent. I think he will be better when the better weather ever comes .

My boss came to see me this week with an enormous floral basket and gift card.

I have started with a few closing of some of mums things . I have to say Prudential were amazing and so were Vodafone .

The big financial institutions are going to be harder.

I have also booked my February getaway as the price was cheaper than last year . Not sure any other holidays abroad will happen this year.
After being paid yesterday i have less left over of course but we have a pay rise pending which will hopefully cover the shortfall .
