Another weekend is here , I was supposed to be in the Lake District this weekend but cancelled the trip as my family to needs the help . I still went into school yesterday and managed to do my housework . Tomorrow I am spending sometime with youngest DGS and maybe a walk at RHS .

Did my money transfers for the month. Also noticed that Octopus have recommended putting my DD to £68 from £90 , I will see what I think after the next bill in early April . I still have a credit of £250 so I may drop it a small amount.

Off to get ready to go back to caring.

Yesterday was not a good day for family member . I know euthanasia is a subjective topic but I can see its attractions to a terminally ill person .
I feel guilty for having time away but I will be ill as well if I didn’t .
Currently sat outside at RHS having breakfast, it’s so peaceful at the moment. Having a walk when it opens in 20 mins and then get the DGC .
We are hoping that some more care may be available in the next week .
I know this isn’t anything to do with money saving but I need to record my thoughts somewhere .
I did have a voucher for £10 off food so breakfast was nearly free .

  • I think mental health is very integrated with money saving so here is a perfect outlet for what you need to say. Sorry to hear you’re having to deal with so much. Try to take every opportunity to look after yourself.

Exactly what @in_need_of_direction says. It’s good to have somewhere to air thoughts anonymously.

It must be stressful caring for someone so poorly. I hope today is a better day.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪

Family member sleeping all the time now . I have been sitting and talking to them or just sitting peacefully at their bedside reading .
This morning I am meeting a very good friend for a coffee before going to the hospice . We have found the coffee place since our visits to the hospice it’s very handy .
