Not much to report, except the CEO has took an interest in it now.  Either they fixed it and it broke again, or its updating maybe on average 1-2 times a week, a block of days at a time.  Have signed up to loop, when it's registered I will try n3rgy again for the csv downloads.  Mywatts data currently ends 9am Jan 17th.  The customer support is very good, a clear step up from Octopus, will say that at least.

I'm still waiting for the post-weekend update, having had another weekend of missing data. My guess is that there is some manual process needed to keep the data flowing, and perhaps there are different processes for different metering situations. It's no biggie as I can see my data elsewhere and all the missing data turns up at the next refresh.

I have a similar conclusion to yourself on the sporadic updates.

I'm on tracker 2023v1 which has been great until now and I'm exploring options.  TE Lifestyle looks a good option as I can make use of the 5p EV charging.  After searching for reviews I came across this topic of which I've only read the last 6 or so pages.  I can look beyond the history of the owners and possible web site issues displaying missing some consumption (if the backend systems are correct).  The last few pages of comments paint a negative picture, but is it all bad?  Is there any concern of TE billing kWh consumed during cheap intervals at the wrong rate?  Is anyone happy?

I’ve had a really good 3 months on TE Lifestyle and not experienced any serious problems. They were 30mins out on the timings according to their billing platform MYWatts but the bill was correct when it arrived and has been ok since. Like Octopus there are some delays on usage data but it’s updated in a day or two. I’m paying around 15pkwh on average including Vat & SC and used over 1,000kw since joining. I’ve therefore saved well £100 compared to SVT or Tracker. Seeing the current prices for Agile makes me glad I took the risk of them going bust and switched. I’m on the basic Lifestyle Tariff as I don’t have EV Solar or batteries.

I got an interesting email from loop, as they still have no access to the meter, it explained they got access to the gas within 3 hours, but also that not all SMETS2 are equal, some meters update DCC much more often than others, and they then pointed me to this page.
    https://kb.loop.homes/ive-completed-the-sign-up-flow-successfully-but-im-not-seeing-any-data
I didnt ask them about it, they just sent it to me.  Might explain more about why not all SMETS2 are getting the 3 hour update's.

Meanwhile sadly mywatts is a bigger mess now, I have a graph for 19 Jan that only registers data from 9am onwards, and everything from 9am onwards 17th Jan to that point is blank.  So its not just delayed data, its missing data.  Whilst you guys may see it not as big a deal, you are not getting the same lag as me and all the gaps.
    20 Jan is complete.
21 Jan today I have data up until midday, but there is a large gap of no data from 8.30am to 11.30am.
The gaps for the first 2 days never got filled so I expect these wont get filled either.

Agile pricing suggests that Tomato are making large losses this month (if some of their pricing predictions are priced on historical data last year was much cheaper on Agile) so hope they have deep pockets!

Deep pockets? Per Companies House those accounts are still outstanding - maybe they haven’t paid the auditors!

That will be more about the onboarding process. Smart meters don't send data to DCC and DCC don't store data. DCC simply provide the comms network for the DCC users (n3rgy in the case of Loop)  to pull the data from the meter. The DCC user can pull the data as often as they like (although there are likely limits imposed)

I'm sure they'll be making significant losses, but it should not be assumed that they don't have any forward supply contracts. I'm sure Octopus doesn't bid day ahead for its customers on Go or Cosy.
