I moved to them over the weekend but the only emails I’ve had are the direct debit and the my watts link. No contract and no request for a reading. Is that normal at this stage?
No data in my watts but I’m not surprised as the meter still says that octopus are the supplier.
I’ve got a photo of the meter on Sunday night. I have TOU 1 and 2 readings. Octopus where only using 1 latterly but I’m worried TE are not going to handle it right.
Octopus appear to have send me a final bill already. It doesn’t say it’s final but a bill for 2 days cant really be explained another way.1 -
I have data now in mywatts, but the first 2 days have gaps all over the place so not all my usage is registered, and no data at all for today which makes a mockery of the every 3 hour claims.
I will install another app tomorrow as a backup for bright.
Octopus replied on the final bill, they stated my reading wont be used and a final bill will only be issued when TE send them a starting reading, stubborn or are they required to do it that way?

So far Loop is giving me the most reliable and up to date data.Octopus is just following regulatory requirements. However, if TE fail to input your reading within 5 days of the switch, your reading won't be used and the validation company will calculate the change of supplier reading using the most recent reading from Octopus (before the switch date) and your much loved seasonally adjusted EAC.0 -
For quite some time I have been pondering switching to TE when my Tracker Dec 23 comes to an end. Taking a distance view, just the sheer volume of correspondence in this forum over the admin problems, mistakes and hassle gives me serious doubts over whether the savings would justify a switch.Telegraph Sam
There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know1 -

Though it seems things are not as bad as initially thought. I've not had any issues so far (touch wood).Add on to that the uncertainty about how long TE might survive in light of the performance management action from Elexon, there is a fair risk we'll all be shunted off to another supplier at some point. For me, in my first week I've achieved an average unit price of 13p vs 26p if I stayed on Tracker Dec 23, saving about £16 already. This is enough for me to hunker down and hope for the best. I'll be quite relieved to see my first bill. Given the substantial savings, I'm willing to tolerate some bumps in the road, but assuming the billing is ok, I don't then foresee a scenario where I'll end up worse off having joined TE.2

Octopus have now agreed with me they will either use a reading provided by TE for final bill, or my reading, not a estimated value based on predicted annual usage for final bill.

I expect there is manual data entry involved on installations and migrations. It ended up being about 5 days, same as what Bright took. Just need to keep an eye now to see if the gaps get filled and if I get billed correctly end of month. Like you I did promptly receive my contract. It is also downloadable from the mywatts page.I still dont have the 3-5 hour updates, so is blank for today, but yesterday is now populated, the first two days 10 and 11 January still have the gaps. However even if I have to wait until the next morning this is still quicker than Octopus was, Octopus was fairly fast when I signed up but after all those months of their growth, acquisitions, and SOLR gains, the smart meter data updates became pretty slow. For more than half the day as well I couldnt view any graphs at all (aside from current day from the mini), as they were locked whilst an update was pending.

Is there a way to see the actual meter reading on the data instead of consumption, 10 January full of holes, but there is a 1am value. But its merely shown as consumption even in the downloaded spreadsheet.
Also Jan 14 has disappeared, so as of right now I am on a day and half lag. So if you guys are still getting current day a few hours behind, it looks like thats not a universal thing.0
