On MyWatts for Lifestyle tariff slots 00:30-1:00, 9:00-9:30 and 20.00-20:30 are all wrongly charged at lower rates.
Slots 5:30-6:00, 11.00-11:30 and 22:00-22:30 wrongly charged at maximum rates.
I generally avoid using the ones wrongly charged at 23pkwh when possible.Even so In the 2weeks I’ve been with Tomato so far I’ve used 211kwh at a cost of £27.26+Vat+ 43p daily charge.0 -
Bit of an invasion of privacy that you can enter your neighbours address and view their electricity bills

Yeah, the last 30min slot is at higher rate. My evening cheaper slot is 22-0 so the incorrect billing of 23:30-0 falls under 5p. I tend to avoid 5:30+ and 11+ as they would be 23p.tlcgrantham said:On MyWatts for Lifestyle tariff slots 00:30-1:00, 9:00-9:30 and 20.00-20:30 are all wrongly charged at lower rates.

Once they fix it they can either recalculate the entire bill - so if someone wishes to start 5p period at 23:30 they can be affected. Or they can leave it as it was if both parties agree.. but we have no idea what they will do.. and when.
@tlcgrantham you seem to be on the Lifestyle tarriff with 20:30-22:30 half priced so 3 wrong 30 minutes slots.
So if you avoid these 2/3 30 minutes periods then it's all really good.
Can't imagine what a mess is on their Agile, firstly you need to calculate rates yourself - and then they charge you different values

Where can you do that?SVts said:Bit of an invasion of privacy that you can enter your neighbours address and view their electricity bills

Imagine you're a debt collector / paparazzi / burglar - you can see when person wakes up, when they come back from work, if they're home or on holidays. Bit of glimpse to their finances as you would know how much they pay..jwball said:
You can view usage, not sure what benefit anyone could gain from this.SVts said:Bit of an invasion of privacy that you can enter your neighbours address and view their electricity bills
I know you can tell most of these things by looking at their house and seeing lights on
It is quite grey area really, the government website with EPC rating allows also to see a lot, like what insulation they have, what boiler ..

You can only see the total used per month not daily or hourly usage. Still some won't be happyNewbie_John said:

Is it actually pulling the data from the smart meter for those consumption estimates?
I checked my actual usage for some months this year and last year against the figures on Tomato and it doesn't match up.0 -
I've just come across this thread and Tomato Energy's solar and batter offering. It looks very interesting, very community spirited, but I cannot find out the details it seems without signing up and reluctant to do that with limited information. Anyone here signed up to the solar/battery offer? I'm assuming TE would own the kit or is ownership transferred to the householder?0
