I couldn't tell you if my tracking was there straight away. I initially looked in the app, and only thought to log in on a web browser an hour or two later to find it there.(apologies all for completely derailing this thread)1

I'm thinking of switching back to Octopus as well but might be able to get the refer a friend bonus as I have never been an Octopus customer. My wife has the Octopus account for gas and I have the Tomato account for electric.
£100 between us and an extra free weekly coffee would be nice. I'm saving between £15 and £20 a month with TE compared with Octopus tracker or fix and my TE usage and billing has been correct.

@masonic @Chrysalis
Just wondering if either of you received an email from TE titled "Loss received for your electricity supply"?
This was the title of an email I received from TE within half an hour or so of initiating a switch away from them back in November last year. Basically acknowledging they were losing my business.
But then around an hour later I received an automated email from my new supplier saying the switch had been blocked by the existing supplier.
When I called TE to ask why they had blocked the switch, they claimed my account was in arrears and so I couldn't switch. All outstanding bills had been paid at that point in time, including the overcharges caused by their calculation errors.The most recent usage hadn't yet been billed. I had to read out the Ofgem rules to them regarding when switches could or could not be blocked on overdue billing!
After that call they agreed to remove the block on any subsequent switch requests and a new switch went through without any problems.
I'm curious to hear if your switches have been agreed by TE or if they are still blocking switches without good reason.
I think there was also something in the T&Cs at one time stipulating a 30 day notice period, but not sure if that featured in all the iterations of the contract.

No email from TE. My direct debit for my March bill had left my account before I initiated my switch. I was hoping they wouldn't be sufficiently on the ball to pick up on it in time to do anything. Which at this point seems very likely to be the case. I'd have thought Octopus would have been in touch if anything like that had happened.Currently:In the TE T&Cs they sent me, there is a 30 day notice period mentioned for moving premises, but not for transferring to a new supplier.0
