The lodger is back & the peace has ended. So much for my aim of taking a step back & letting her fend for herself, she left her handbag at a friends house. Within minutes of arriving home, she was asking to borrow money for her train fare & a lift to the station to go & collect her bag. I've spent all day on standby waiting for her to decide when she wants to go!
Hubby & I went for a walk earlier while it was sunny & now I'm going to settle down to read Deathly Hallows. Hubby & I were going to go out tonight, but have decided to stay in instead.
    Hugs to GB

    Afternoon everybody.
We have just returned from a 3 hour trip out to the woods with kids, had a lovely walk and got really nice and muddy just how the kids like it!!

And now having a hour before going out to our friends, they have invited us for tea and drinks, so kids can play with their children as they are starting to get fed up of their own company now, knew the peacefulness wouldnt last until they went back to school!!!!

    Have a good evening everyone.

Mum has bought herself ONE OF THESE and I want one now  :D

Master tru is gutted - he's lost his wallet. It was a present from my mum for Christmas. His payday fell on an awkward date so I lent him £100 just before Christmas for presents and he also owes me 2 weeks keep. He took £200 out to pay me back and £20 for himself and it's all gone

On the plus side, I'll save a fortune on cleaning stuff in the near future. When mr tru's dad moved he couldn't be bothered to pack his cleaning stuff so I've got the lot. 3 bottles of washing up liquid, 3 boxes of washing powder, cloths, polishes, hob cleaners, fabric softeners, shake n vac, spray cleaners, window cleaners and a couple of towels for the bathroom. I haven't used most of those things for a couple of years now, it's a bit confusing for me :rotfl:

Hi everyone. Well, today I've been in THAT bedroom-you know, the one I took the wood panelling off the walls. Well, underneath the panelling is some woodchip wallpaper-that'l be the one that's a pig to get off then!!!! So I've been stripping walls today and trying to get ceiling painted. So I've come downstairs for a well earned cuppa and for my fix of mse. OH has just gone for a kip. Kids are watching tv. Eldest DD has been in bathroom and in front of mirror all afternoon having a bath with new bath stuff. Washing her hair and straightening it with new straighteners! It used to be three falls and a knockout getting her in bathroom, now we could do with an extra bathroom!!
Don't know what's wrong with me lately-I've been so cold!!!
Right I suppose that's my break over!!!

    Hi everybody :hello:

Sorry I haven't been around - I have been at my mum's and couldn't figure out how to get onto her wireless network, so have been OS-less since Christmas Eve  Anyway, I hope most of you have had a nice Christmas.

((((Hugs)))) to all those who have recently lost somebody, are feeling unwell or are worried about relatives. If I say it all individually I'm bound to miss somebody out, so here's a general :grouphug:

I had a couple of dramas over Christmas - first, my upstairs neighbour sprung a leak in his bathroom and I ended up with water dripping through my bathroom ceiling  then my mum's TV aerial died on Christmas Day so we weren't able to watch the ONE thing both of us really wanted to see :( (Ballet Shoes - did ANYBODY tape it? If so, be an :A and PM me!) The bathroom leak took some resolving but my neighbour eventually traced it to an overflowing loo cistern  and I ended up buying a dehumidifier to dry out my bathroom, however I had been planning on buying one anyway as my bathroom's very poorly ventilated.

I have been shopping in the Bravissimo sale today. Natzini, they definitely have some good swimwear, though I wasn't really looking at that sort of thing. However I'd recommend you also look at the online sale too, as there is always far more stuff available there than instore, even though you end up paying for delivery. I spent quite a bit so fortunately it cost almost exactly what my dad gave me for Christmas :rotfl: - I got two lingerie sets (each with bra & 2 pairs knickers) and this cute little black cardigan thing (which was down to £26.50 instore :D)

I also picked up an Absolut Vodka gift set from Tesco reduced from £10 to £4, and a bottle of M&S white chocolate and vanilla liqueur on offer for £5.99 :D

I'm now enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon to myself :)

    Love Rzl xx
