Hi all,
Here is the latest update on my case, after further consideration DCBL have decide to go ahead with the hearing and it looks like i have to get ready for a Court hearing.
In one of the previous letters i received it was mentioned that if the Claimant doesn't pay the court fees by a certain date the case will be struck, such date passed and i'm assuming that they have paid the relevant fees, how does that work? are they supposed to inform me as well or just the Court as i haven't received anything suggesting that they paid the fees.

DCBL are not involved, DCB LEGAL LTD are acting on behalf of the claimant ( National Parking Control )
That court order is standard, part of the usual process, no biggie
If you are both past the deadline date for the court fee to be paid, DO NOT ASSUME, phone the court and see if its been paid, ideally today , because you won't get a letter or email about it, as the Litigant in Person it is your job to liaise with your local nominated civil court
( when was that deadline ? When is the WS bundle deadline ? When is the hearing date ? )2 -
I understand, i will give the court a call to check.
Deadline for paying the fees 11/09/2025. WS deadline is 14 days before the hearing. Hearing is 09/10/2025.

Well Well Well Well!
Shocking news! Guess what ?
I called the court as advised by Gr1pr, and guess what , the court staff has confirmed that DCBL have discontinued the case, i asked if i will get some sort of confirmation and he said no, if i require confirmation that i should contact the claimant for that, do i need it or just leave it as it is? i guess it won't be necessary as quite happy with the court's confirmation.5 -
So a typical discontinuation before they have to pay out money to the court, doesn't surprise me
Check your email inbox and spam folders for their N279 document, the discontinuation document, same as everyone else, it's usually in the spam folder
If its not there, email the info@ address for DCB Legal and ask for a copy, then redact it and post it below3 -
Totally as expected - just as we predicted - but yes you need to get an email with the Notice of Discontinuance to close your file and to share with us here so we can count your success.CanineLover said:Well Well Well Well!

Well, here we go, that's discontinuance 666 - a devil of a good outcome. Memorable milestone.Thank you @CanineLover for the copy of your NoD. I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
