With a Claim Issue Date of 13th August, you have until Monday 2nd September to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 17th August, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 16th September 2024 to file a Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.1 -
Thank you so much to all of you for your support and guidance. I guess i better start working on my defence then.Apreciate the help!1

We hope that you have done the AOS online first, then work on your defence draft0

CanineLover said:On the claim form it says “you have a limit time to reply to this claim form”, it doesn't specify exactly how long, so you think i have a few months or we talking about maybe a few weeks, i’ll give them a call and try to only pay the 350£ claimed without the court fees, see if they accept that.
The advice you got early on this thread to offer money was mistaken, incorrect and not from a forum regular. You don't pay these firms!
You defend and it's easy. Over in 2025 with no court hearing. No money paid, no CCJ. Nowt.
This is the final road to discontinuance!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

and would it not be easier to negotiate a price on the PCN
then once it's all sorted ask your father to pay you back
I disputed a PCN by parking eye cos I was 10 mins over the time limit, this was 7 years ago
I tried all the regular defences, then I got the same form as you.
I eventually agreed for a moderator for sn hour slot with parking eye via a 3 way phone call.
I eventually got the PCN down to £80 from £140, it was £60 to start with , but after a year long argument it was totalling £140 cos of their late charges.
I paid £80 and that was the whole thing closed forever.
There is no Moderator. Mediator? Seven years ago Mediation wasn't compulsory as it is now. You didn't need to offer money or even attend that phone call.
This OP doesn't need to pay a penny.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I guess this helpful advice is not for me then as i have a CLAIM FORM and not an LBC as stated in the NEWBIES thread.I have contacted Parking Ticket Firm to try and see if they can help, whats my other options if they can't help?
PLEASE NOTE THE ABOVE IS THE ADVICE TO RESPOND TO A LETTER OF / BEFORE CLAIM, THIS IS NOT WHAT TO DO IF YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A CLAIM FORM

So, what does the Newbies/FAQ thread say about responding to a claim form? It’s the next step after dealing with an LoC.0
