We are having issues with my SIL demanding things from FIL house. We inherited the house and contents and agreed to discuss any items she requested so some we said yes to but some no as very sentimental and worried would be sold for drugs. She referred to the house as a !!!!!! hole which is where my husband's parents lived for 30 years so as you can imagine that went down well. The good news was we reconnected with niece and nephew we haven't seen for years so we hope we continue to see them
So we getting quotes to make changes to house now we own it and will have to borrow money to do this while ours sells.....ironic that we own 2 houses and got to borrow money 🤣

Crazycatlady2, have you changed the locks to this house? just in case SIL has a set of keys / or gains access to a set of keys and starts letting herself in, to take items. So far fed 5 cats, one of whom is now settling in on my high shed roof, so he can watch goings on.Sorted out a neighbours fire alarm, at least it works, not burning toast may help, and opening a couple of windows.DW doneWM done out of whirlySorted other general stuff.Off walking, (half way there!!

Hello. I hope Round is ok.
I have done a work shift, dailies, walked Poppet, hoovered high traffic areas, caught up with admin, s&sd bathrooms and scrubbed kitchen sink.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Got steadily worse yesterday and ended up contacting 111. She confirmed probably got flu or covid, agreed that either could make you feel extremely ill: painkillers, rest, fluids. Never had a headache like it.
Feeling a bit better today. Made my bed, then had to lie down on it as I was exhausted. Put my fleece over my nightie and brought in the emptied bin, and fed the birds.
Struggled with Wordle this morning: got it on the 5th line. And lost one life on Connections - incorrect first line. Then cracked it.
Thank you for the get well wishes. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the update Round. You've had the advice you need - rest and parrots and fluids; hope they do the trick.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Glad you're recovered Valli, and you're feeling a bit better today Round. You're a lot better at this Connections lark than I am - I always use lives up and about half the time I need to start again because I've used all four, and also often give up after two lines and look up the answer. When I do that I'm not surprised I can't get it because it's often American culture and I'm not that au fait with it.Also Valli, thanks for the Lidl heads up on ameretti; I checked in there today but nothing doing. They do a bechemel sauce in Italian week that works brilliantly for cheese sauce etc and because it's foiled-lined it keeps for ages past its sell by date.We had the sitting room curtains dry cleaned as part of my spring cleaning and I put the curtain hooks in a 100ml box after washing them - could we find them last night when we needed to rehang them to deaden the fireworks noise? Both of us searched everywhere twice, nothing doing. Fortunately on the way to the Foodbank I pass a very old fashioned sort of ironmonger place and they sell them by the one, so to speak, in a paper bag once they've counted them out. I love places like that and they're few and far between now.Have done Foodbank things and discussed the future with the members of staff I like and promised not to leave while either of them is still there (it's lovely to be wanted), visited Lidl which was probably a mistake as I didn't have the car and walked home slowly dragging heavy things like a melon, cabbage, sweet potato etc from a Too Good To Waste Box on top of the nuts, chocolate and oranges I need to make and freeze those lovely chocolate pots, bumped into a young Polish woman who used to live in the Gardens who I sponsored to do an English course and is now well away on her career path so she's doing really, really well, and then had my hair flown.Enough for one day. Tomorrow I will visit our neighbour in hospital and do something productive around the house but it'll have to be an easy something.
Better is good enough.6
