Wow! Kaz, you have been busy!!
I have done about 2/3 of the bay carpet (spot washer, so hands & knees, scrubbing) and all of the rest of the list. I am just cooling down with some water before finishing off. I will treat myself to a cup of tea when I am done!7 -

Carpet in bay washed. I am now waiting for it to dry before putting everything back. The blinds are open so the sun can help - I will regret that later!! I have pinched DS's fan from his room, as he is now away until Thursday. He has been to Gatwick this morning to pick up his GF who has returned from 3 months in the US, competing with an American team at Colour Guard/drum corps. No, I hadn't heard of Colour guard before either! 😂 We won't be seeing much of him for a while! 😂
We are now making a shopping list & trying to summon up the energy to go shopping! 🥵
Downstairs toilet & sink have been cleaned
I hope everyone is keeping cool!7 -
WUDUPA
Recycled a couple of magazines and washed plastics.
It's like walking into warm soup out there. Or how I imagine walking into warm soup would feel! Singularly unpleasant.

Have a lovely holiday @pigpen - you deserve it!@Narc0lepsy I'm so pleased your mother has found a home that she, and you and your brother, like. I was worried that might be difficult so good to know it wasn't.Flying yesterday was limited to food prep and washing up and washing and drying the towels. This morning I went to the big M&S for a few food items and on the way back stopped of at the deli for some of the Spanish olive oil crisps A likes. No flying done today apart from food prep and washing up as it's far too hot; according to the car it was 30 degrees at 10 to 12 and I'm sure that it's much hotter than that in here now.I've booked the car in for an MOT. In the past we've always had it, and any servicing, done at the main dealer but they no longer offer a collection and delivery service and as it is not very conveniently located for public transport and it's only (I hope!) an MOT we've decided to have it done at a local independent, recommended by a friend. I booked that online and cancelled the one at the main dealer.I hope that everyone is keeping cool.7

Sitting room put back to rights. The coffee table needs a good scrub but that can wait until tomorrow. Covers back on the sofa, TV stand thingy put back in the right place which revealed a bit of carpet that could do with freshening up which I'll do when I wash the stair carpets. In the meantime I've put the carpet washer away because it's a bit of a big beast and I don't want it cluttering up the dining rooom for a couple of week while I start tackling the entryway and stairs etc. Laundry folded and put away, a couple of bits of silver that I'd forgotten about polished, a door stop oiled because it was left outside years ago and has a little rust on it. It's going to a new place in the house so it needed a bit of attention. Filter on the cordless thingy rinsed and put outside to dry.Dog walked, loo scrubbed and supper prepped, including this recipe. I'm not sure about his quantities because it's made ten small ones but it is really easy and rather fab. Maybe mine are just much smaller than they should be but it's really rich. No nuts, so no bases, marsala because no kahlua and they'll be served with clotted cream because that's what we have but the truffle itself if the easiest thing in the world to make. I love Chef Jean Pierre.Better is good enough.5

Hi all
Out of bed to do strength training before the paid stuff, then shower, breakfast and in the office just after 8am. Worked until 7.30pm with a couple of breaks.
A little anxious but nothing too drastic. Flying has been limited to making the bed and randomly polishing the kitchen sink. Hot here but breezy too so not unpleasant.
DH has had an interview for a job that he really wants. Fingers crossed. It does mean no more leisurely weekends away as Friday will be one of his main work days if he gets it, but we just have to accept that.
Lots of reasons to be positive here.8
