Huge congratulations Jazee!Halfords will sell you the right wiper blades for your car and install them as part of the price while you wait in the car park, CoG. It looks simple when I watch but I can't quite work out how they snap in place. To the huge hospital today to visit our neighbour, then I think dusting. If I did the dusting and washed all the paintwork from and including the front door up to Belovéd's office over the next two or three days, when we get a lovely hot day I can wash the stairs and landing carpets, rather than try to do everything all in one day. Which with that amount of work just isn't possible but just dusting would be and judging by the state of the house that would be quite a big job on its own..Better is good enough.6

Have to say wiper blade fitting is tricky…and i speak as a girl who can top up screen wash (CoG I am shocked!), check oil and coolant and (boast) change a wheel. Taught DS wheel changing too. Trick is to loosen the nuts before jacking up (wheels don’t revolve so it’s easier).
Done a WM and a DW.
Ran the vacuum round yesterday too.
HoneyBear i have ironmonger envy. Ours closed a few years back so it’s DIY superstores now. Far less exciting.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
Update for Valli 🙂. I did Wordle in 4 lines. And completed Connections in two minutes with no lives lost. Woot woot.
Had a terrible night. Had to go downstairs at 2am to take parrots. I was burning up. Don't feel too bad at the moment but I haven't got our of bed yet. I have to ring work every morning to say I'm not going in. I didn't know my voice wasn't working until I croaked at my supervisor 🐸🐸. 🤣.
Flying will be the basic basics again today. Make bed. Feed birds. Water stuff. Put out recycling. I like my little excursion outside with my fleece over my nightie - bit of fresh air. But it wears me out.
Have a good day.

Good morning 😁
Paid stuff today. WM x1 done & hung out. Friday money juggle done. I will sweep & vac when the children have gone home.
I had to park in the next street last night. I want to move the car round, but everyone seems to have parked like idiots! If everyone shoved up a bit, there would be another 2-3 spaces out there! Grrrr!
Wordle done in 3, and connections done easily (I am new at this one, and can't always see it). Thanks for keeping my brain active!!
Okay - I now need to entertain a 4 year old. Have a good day everyone x7 -
Hello. Ok, so far today - dailies, two wash loads now on line, work shift, dog walk. Just about to have lunch then back to the paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.7

ooh I'm cross. I KNOW I logged in to the big river to cancel my (free) prime membership - due to renew today, on Wednesday. But I've been charged. I've rung them to cancel and get a refund but this suggests that last time this happened it was their mistake not mine...I thought I hadn't cancelled in time; I probably had.
Anyway, I should be getting a refund. I haven't ordered anything for almost a month; I don't order a lot so it usually isn't worth me having the membershhip.
Washing on the line; I washed my duvet cover (I use top and bottom sheets so don't wash it every week). Bed stripped and airing.

Ooh, I am cross too. I had plans and tickets to go to a show next month. However the trains will now be on strike and although there is a bus there, there isn't one back. Can't exchange or get a refund on the tickets. Grrr......
I'm now on holiday from paid stuff for the next week. This afternoon before paid stuff I hoovered through and dusted hall, stairs and landing. Dry washing is now away.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Congratulations, Jazee, on the new arrival!Relieved for you, Narc0, that your mum has the accommodation that you wished for her.
CoG, I think if you invited a bunch of flyladies round for lunch (in the name of kicking you up the derrière to fly, of course!), that you would get a full turnout. Your menus always sound delicious!
Round, keep on resting, and don’t even think about returning to work until you are completely recovered. You hear me?!😘
Steady day at the paid stuff, although we were only 3 for most of the day. I flew by proxy - DH stirred himself to vacuum clean up and down apparently. I haven’t inspected, that is good enough for me right now. I have cooked dinner, WULTD, cleaned the kitchen sink, and am now Queen of the Remote, with a secretly stashed packet of jaffa cakes. DH has taken a friend out, so I am hoping for at least another hour of solitary bliss.8 -
Sorry for my lateness. We have been camping with friends in Norfolk. 3 families have been going for the last 6 years. Mum's and kids whilst dad's are working. A fab time was had by everyone (as always).
Got back this afternoon and ud about 4 loads of washing and cleared most of the camping stuff away.
Tomorrow I need to fit a long run in and then will tackle out ensuite!

@Fayolle I might end up with more than I could cope with!@Honey_Bear the trouble is that the nearest Halfords is several miles away, which in London can take quite a while. Hopefully my friend's son can do it.@Valli I'm very impressed with your motor mechanic skills.I finally got myself into gear today and stripped the bed and washed and dried everything and bagged it up to go to the laundry to be ironed. I put fresh bedding on, then emptied the kitchen bin and took the rubbish down and went to the post office to post a thank you card to our friend for yesterday's lunch and to our friend in Plymouth who is recovering from a stroke. After that I gave the bathroom a fairly thorough clean, made lunch, WUPA everything and helped A with some IT issues. I had planned to clean the kitchen too but by that time it was nearly 3 and I decided to just bleach the sink and washing-up pad and leave the rest until tomorrow. At 5.30 I popped to M&S and a local shop for a couple for a couple of things and then went on to a friend, who lives nearby, for a drink. I came back, made supper and washed up. I now just have to get A's breakfast things and meds ready and then I can go to bed.6
