New: Amazon Barclaycard

Applied at 3.30 am yesterday morning
Got accepted with double my Pulse (had old Amazon CC) limit
£50 Amazon voucher immediately credited to Amazon

I made that mistake you probably selected the wrong Barclay card - in the list on the app of what card you haveyou need to select Amazon Barclaycard and then you don't need the real card to complete regustration

just in case it matters I try to add the Amazon Barclaycard to my curve app and it said 'unable to add cards issued outside the EEA' so not sure if it is some kind of US card or something like that - no idea

No, it'll just be using a new BIN which Curve haven't updated their definitions to include yet.

Nope I selected the correct card, in fact it was preselected.
I'll just wait until I get the card through the post.

I tried registering in the app. and selected the correct card i.e. Amazon Barclaycard.

I couldn't proceed because I don't know the card number or have some sort of acivation code.

£20 has been credited to my Amazon account. From past experience with Barclays I doubt a card will be posted to me, they seem very reluctant to send anything by post.

I received a text message advising that "your Amazon Barclaycard is ready for you". No it isn't. Oh, log into the app. to read the Ts&Cs. Really?

Anyone have a Barclaycard already (Platinum here if it makes any difference) and applied? I just took out an HSBC BT card and closed an old M&S card so going to give it a month or two if this is still running then but wonder if it will affect it? Have a Tesco too which will be Barclays eventually too!

Barclaycard don't allow applications for new credit cards unless you haven't had a Barclaycard within the last 6 months. Tesco Bank cards don't matter (yet).

If you are accepted it'll be because they haven't matched your application to your profile.

Will they allow me to be added on as an additional cardholder if my other half is the applicant ?

well all I can say is my experience which is I selected the Amazon Barclaycard from the list displayed by the app and then it asked me my name, date of birth and a couple of other questions and then from that they recognise the application and allowed me to activate the app

I did download the app by following the link from the application on the website ie not separately so maybe it passed some kind of parameters over - I don't know
