Went with this along with everyone else and found they have taken money out and no goods at all So rang tonight to cancel and get my money back which the nice lady did and she said they would send me a free CD player for the trouble they have caused me ;D SO I might get it next year then ;D ;D ;D

well lo and behold this morning i got my invoice thro, they have only charged me for 3 pens £2.01 carrage is free and i will get a welcome pack ( ha ha ) delivery is due on or before 30/12/04 shan't hold my breath

..i said "i know, thats why im ringing cos it seems that your next day delivery is a ^little misleading^ to say the least :P"
she appologised and is refunding my card and sending out the pen and free cd player to arrive in the next 3 days.

......lets hope she didnt mean 3 months ;D

I have called staples today as I have received an invoice after placing an order on the 17 October and they have taken the money and she told me it had been dispatched on the 24 Nov so will have to wait and see. I also mentioned the free gift and she told me that it should be with the pen.

Still a crap company though

I received an invoice from Staples today too, but there is the text Paid in Full across it, like a watermark.

And as I have paid, on the 11th Novemeber to be precise, I'm not going to do anything.

My credit card was charged on 3 November. I only received the welcome pack. I did not even get the pen. Having received a PIF invoice today, I managed to speak with someone and she agreeed this was out of order. She mentioned that my account was with the company Staples had bought out in October, despite my order being placed with Staples after they bought the Company! I will wait to see if I get my credit and as and when I do, I will post.

Whatever happened to *Quill*?
I periodically recieved these stupid catalogues from them - they always offered similar free gifts (by similar i mean poor quality mass produced junk)
their catalogues were same style as Staples ---
My theory: Quill changed their name in an attempt to 'turn over a new leaf' (presumably after customers not receiving their requested gifts) and re-attempt to take over the UK office supplies market with hidden VAT and delivery charges

looks like staples need to train people in the Sales team, so they know where the CAPS LOCK key is.
