Yes but did they refund the postage? not a lot of point in obtaining refund for 37p pencil if 3.95 postage still charged!

Just spoke to a nice fellar at Staples who said that the surround system had a two pin instead of a three pin plug on it so they all had to be recalled ::)

They are sending me a personal cd player and a tin of biccies as well as my pencil..... hopefully ;D

If it arrives it won't be bad for £3.50....so quite happy here,don't think I will bother again tho

Just to let everyone know. Spoke to Staples yesterday and agreed for CD instead of SS System. After waiting for 1.5 month my order came next day.
Total: £3.15 for envelops + Free CD player (not perfect but good for a prezie )

People, if you want CD player - phone Staples. And get Free postage, cos is rubish to pay for that bad service.

I took advantage of this surround speaker offer when i first read this thread, and I have some good news for everyone

I received my order of a ruler, but with a note on my receipt saying Free Gift To Follow. I left it a few days after my ruler arrived and called Staples to find out about the Speakers. I was told that they were having difficulties with the them, and that they weren't expecting any in. So I left it a wekk or two and rang back again. This time, the lady I spoke to told me about the problems with the speakers, and offered me a personal cd player instead. So I accepted that and low and behold, it arrived today!!

The player came with headphones, plug and inline remote

I have no idea of the make of it, but the model number is CD-9917. So don't give up hope yet, just give them a call, quote your name and address, as they can locate your order by that, and you should get your entitled free gift!

oh no pc crashed and no back up so cant trace the staples order, my credit card bill came today ( the mbna with free watches ( get them to ok for prezzies ) found staples took £2.36 on 16 nov for delivery no mention of a biro or gift i,m off to trading standards and maybe a no win no fee solicitor , there nothing but thieves.
