Last week I managed to get through to Customer Services on the phone (after much waiting) and had a good moan. I was told that the speakers were no longer available and that I could have a portable CD player instead.

I was not happy with this offer so I asked for them to collect the items I had already received and cancel my account/invoice. As the items were less than £10 (with the P&P), I was told that it was not worth them collecting them and I could keep them but a credit note would be raised. I received the credit note yesterday so my account is clear and suprisingly I received the CD player today.

So I guess I did alright out of this one but I don't think I will be in a hurry to order from Staples again.

yipee got my gift today not the surround sound tho, it is out of stock so they sent me the cd player still no pens tho and all this cost me £2.01

just got off the phone with staples after being on hold for about 20mins. anyway got through to a very nice lady but said she couldnt located my order and genuinely sounded sorry about it. She offered my pens again which i agreed to after i was offered a cd player to replace the speakers that they cant get and free delivery.

She said that these items should be delivered someitme between monday (2 days time) or next week. She also added that she would check the status of my order before she got off work to make sure it was on the system.

Sounds good but ill be convinced when postie gives me a parcel and it contains all the stuff i want.

ordered this way back on 30/10, invoice arrived this morning. No answer to emails, and phone number on account 0800 151414 just rings through. Anyone got any other number for them?

Account queries no on invoice is 0800 4960642. I've been waiting 22 mins now for a reply. Good luck. I've also seen 0800 141414 on this thread Ithink thats a sales number.

I was on hold for 50 minutes before giving up today.
Does anyone know why we are receiving invoices when we had to pay by card online anyway?

I was promised a cd player instead of speakers on the 27th nov ....I have still not received it....but then it is only 9 days

All I got was an invoice for £4.29 (no pen). Called my credit card company (Am Ex) and got a refund.
