  • Got my pen last week but no mention of the free gift on the packing note. No money taken yet. Been emailing them ever since...finally got a response this morning:-

    Thank you for contacting us at Staples on-line.

    I apologies for the lack of response you have had. We have been
    experiencing some delays in deliveries due to the relocation of our
    warehouse. Also the volume of calls and e-mails have been very high.

    The free gift item is at the moment out of stock. I apologies for any
    inconvenience this may have caused you or your company but if you could
    please continue to be patient the item should be with you in
    approximately 2 weeks.

    I ordered 2 boxes of pen on 12/10/2004 to get the surround sound system and total was £4.92 ;D

    Receiced a post with just 1 box of pen and a note indes saying other item had something wrong (didn't understand thire hand writing) >:(

    Today, they sent me statement for both item (£4.92) ???

    Tried to contact CS but after 15-20minutes sales team asnwered but couldn't help said keep on ringing ???

    Then tried again and ended up with sales team again but this time they kept my details to contact me later ???

    By the way, there is no sign of that gift thing yet >:( >:( >:(

    Got my invoice detailing my pen and my free gift and the fact that I'd paid by Visa.

    Got !!!!!! all else though, so it looks like they've got a good scam going here!
  • I think that either we have all been had big style or Staples are just cr*p. Either way I'm putting it down to the old saying "if the offer looks too good to be true, then it probable is" :-/

  • I received my pencil and welcome pack last week on the same day as a few others here and still am yet to receive my free gift. The invoice arrived today for a total of £.3.75. Now in lieu of the extremely late delivery (22 days! for me) is anybody entitled to a reimbursement of the relatively high delivery fee?

    We deserve it don't we? ;D
