I'm going to try the email approach! I'll update you all with the response (if I ever get one other than their standard automated reply!)

P.S I've not figured out how to post items with all the fancy pictures and quote boxes. Can anyone give me any tips? :-[

I'd like to be a fly on the wall when Staples eventually get a thousand well-packaged rulers and pencils returned to them with requests for refunds!

Transaction wouldn't have been worthwhile had it not included the speakers, so I expect I'll charge it back if I don't get my stuff and do get charged...

That said, I don't see it on my statement yet, so I suspect they may have stopped processing the orders by the time they reached mine..

Ho hum..

PC world do a 2.1 system for 19-99. I do a lot of presentations and need sound and this is perfectly adequate for an audience of 50. For a home PC they would be very handy. The subwoofer is good and the 2 other speakers are very slimline and look good too. And you can have one tomorrow!

And yes I got the envelope with the pens and no free gift but I got fed up with waiting and had looked elsewhere and bought before the free gift failed to arrive. Paid £16 extra but got a good product without the hassle of arguing with Staples.

Those of you who received the envelope with your pen/ruler/pencil but without the free gift should be glad.

As I believe I am the only person who has received the envelope without my pen!!! :-/ :-/ :-/

The envelope only contained the welcome pack, but without my Pilot CD marker pen.

I am going to complaint complaint complaint.
