I only ever received the original email as follows..

So... is this normal? Should i be receiving another email?
I checked my order history on their website, and its still there waiting. The gift code is at the bottom, but it doesnt actually state it anywhere else on the order.. ie, at the top with the pencil.

I also looked at their T&C that was linked to my order, it said..

3. Delivery
Staples shall use reasonable endeavours to deliver the Products on the next working day (some areas of the UK may take up to 72 hours) following your order......Note that oversized or bulky items may require additional delivery time...
So thats the REAL reason we have waited so long... the difficulty in finding big enough envelopes for everyones pencils
I mean, STAPLES probably found it really hard to find a supplier of envelopes... ::)

Well the most expensive black ballpoint pen arrived this morning. No delivery note no receipt no communication no nothing. Took nearly 33 days for delivery - thank god i wasn't waiting for this pen or i would have been right up sh#t creek.

Not a good way to treat customers or keep them.

They certainly will not get my custom again. 8)

I guess there are a couple of conclusions to this thread ...

1. Staples can't distribute pens, pencils & rules effectively so don't use them for real. This offer has exposed them for what they are.

2. Every MSE punt doesn't work but heck, I've only gambled £3.50ish in the hope of a good win. Compared to everything else I have gained through this site which runs to several hundred pounds this isn't a big deal.

3. I can still live in hope that my 'free gift to follow' might arrive someday.

I received my Documents enclosed labels today in a massive padded envelope ???
No free gift BUT was expected. Only problem is I was in staples yesterday and could have got them for half the price. SO an expensive buy.

Only putting this on here just incase someone decides to send the link to Staples so they can see how unhappy their buyers are.

!!!!!!, why are they sending me NEW ACCOUNT WELCOME PACK only? Where is my PEN?

On the Delivery Note, it said: -

Number of boxed: 2

But i only got the one Massive padded envelope.

What should i do now?

should I phone up staples and complaint them to hell?

Got my pens at the weekend but alas no surround system, not even a mention of it on my delivery note

I did get the sticker tho!
