Hi all
I just tried custemer services for the first time and got through within seconds, lady told me that they were out of stock of all free gifts but were taking customer details and would ship the free gift as soon as it was back in stock. She couldn't tell me how long but she said you need to phone and give details in order to receive you free gift when it finally comes in stock.

Glimmer of hope!!!!!!!!! ??? we,ll just have to wait it out.

Hi there, same thing happened with me. I received my (rather nice) pack of disposable fountain pens this morning but no free gift.. I called customer services and they said they have to take my customer number and they'll ship it when they have stock. I think what they're doing is allowing all those people to just give up on the free gift... if you call in then it shows you're interested and they are the ones that will get the gift...

Well that's my take on it.... ;D

Just phoned customer services (12 minutes wait)

Asked for my customer number (which I did not know - so they asked for the postcode instead). Then told me that the free gift was out of stock, and would be sent on to me once stock arrived. Did not ask for any address details, but I expect that they should be able to get these from the customer number.

ordered my 1 pencil at 34p on14th Oct and have since forgotten about it.

This morning Staples delivered to me 2 jiffy bags - one with a box of 12 pencils (very nice ones too) and another one with their catalogue.

Invoice was for 34p pencil, £2.85 delivery and 56p VAT - total £3,75p. Invoice also notes that free gift ref: 2P-HOME (this is the code for the speakers) to follow.

So even if the free gift didn't come I've ended up with 12 x 34p pencils for a total of £3.75 and to cap it they have not yet charged my credit card with anything.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and heard nothing, so i tried phoning on a Friday evening after 20 minutes on hold i eventually got cut off. So i tried again last Saturday and eventually got through.
Apparently they have relocated there sales and warehousing whilst this has been going on unbeknown to them orders placed via the net have not been received bt them, they are in their system but have not been dealt with. I got the lady to process my order so they could not try to wriggle out of the deal later (I received my pencil today!)
They currently have no stock of the surround system but she said they would honour the order rather than send an alternative gift.
It would be worth chasing them to make sure your orders have been received.

??? Received my Bic Crystal Gel roller pens this morning, but no FREE GIFT! Delivery note advises that FREE GIFT DISCONTINUED??
I'll try to contact customer services as you have all suggested but where do we stand with this??

Could they be accused of selling under false pretences or deception?

Are they obliged to give gift of equal value?

I received 2 parcels one with my pencil the other with a welcome pack. On the note it also says ***FREE GIFT TO FOLLOW SHORTLY*** but mentions no free gift code

If our free gift never turns up can we reclaim the postage as it took them so long to deliver?

I ordered on the 12th and have an email to confirm this but on the order note it says I ordered on the 17th A LIE or a mistake?

I received my 6inch plastic ruler today,,,never paid for one before nevermind £3.19.....

no freegift..rang customer services it is freefone was on hold for about 40 mins.

end result was free gift should be on its way shortly , he thought they had some in today
