I just received the text stating I've met all requirements and will have the money in 10 days, sweet
Made me check my texts and I'm the same,  transfer in on Wed, £800 in and out Thu. It's handy being paid so quick as needed DD so used 30P ones. Once paid I will cancel them so only cost 60p for both DD.
Oh I actually have 3 real DDs that transferred across. None have even been used yet as all start of the month so I'm surprised at the quick payout

Why is it taking forever to get my new debit card? Account opened 12th July

I received mine in a week, including a weekend. Still to receive p.i.n.. For some reason, they don't know, I can't access the account until I receive the p.i.n..
I applied and was accepted using the app.. For some reason now I can't log in. I need the card p.i.n. and number. I am also asked for a memorable word which I don't know, wasn't asked for one during the application. I only found out my "membership number" after phoning them.
I need to get it sorted out because the rewards £5 will be debited soon and the account balance is zero!
Yes, it's £175, but I'm inclined to just close the account if I can't access it. Too much hassle.
Oh, and the hold time when phoning them is ridiculously long. e.g. 16 minutes after navigating the menus.

I’d setup another account and not mess with your Llyods, especially if you’re main/only account. Chase is quick and easy to setup, then create a ‘sub’ account to use for switching.

    Direct Debits, few options here

also google 30p and 50p direct debits which can be setup quickly

The pin for the card is accessed via the app. It’s not posted. When downloading the app did you select Im new to Barclays or Register … if you select I am new… it sets up your app passwords and access code and lets you open the new account at the same time. If you select register it assumes you already have an open account with them and asks for the account details.

First text from Barclays on the 10th - " We've sent your card...."

    18th - switch completed text

    19th - "good news - you qualify..."

Did it say "failed to verify your ID" the first time?
yes - and asked me to use a different method of ID. I ignored that and just tried the Driving Licence again and 2nd time it worked.

@oldagetraveller1 The PIN for the app is chosen by you when you register, it's completely separate from the card PIN. You need to remember what you set it as.

Is there a right order of doing things or it doesn’t matter? Can I transfer some money in (Blue Rewards payment will be due soon) and only initiate switch afterwards, or will that invalidate the bonus? (I opened the account via the app fine).
