Tried to create an account and for the first time ever it says “couldn’t verify ID” and I have to book an appointment in person! Done switches with every bank and never seen this before. Hope I still get the switch money…0

You can re-apply by removing and reinstalling the app, but will likely end with the same result. I found applying via the website works better. Each time I've applied that way, they've asked me questions about my credit record, which aren't always easy to answer as many on here will appreciate (e.g. asked me what bank I'd applied for a credit card with in the past 3 months, but I'd actually applied for 2 on the list). However, as mentioned in an earlier post, I get a message saying they can't complete my application online and will review it within 5 working days, followed by a text a day or 2 later saying my new card is now active.

I already have so I understand my post may have come across as kind of negative but Ive never had anything like this happen before. The comments that you highlighted never seemed to address anything about it being app only either but thats just what Ive gleaned from the offer details on here. I have since deleted the app as I couldnt progress any further without a visit (no reason except for ID). Not sure if I could even apply online if the app application was left in limbo. Anyone else applied online this way after an ID verification decline on app?TIA0 -
My OH has opened a new Barclays current account with the switch completion date of 16 July. However, the App no longer works, it just pops up with an error code. And there's been no confirmation text or email to say the switch has indeed completed.
OH has deleted the App and reloaded it, but to login it asks for the PIN no., but OH has no idea what the PIN no. was.
Don't Barclays post the PIN a few days after the bank card, anymore?0 -

My Driving licence was rejected first time and it said try a different ID. I just ignored this and tried the driving licence again. 2nd time it worked. I think it's just fussy with the quality of video and images of the ID. Instead of telling you to us a different ID it should just ask you to try again. I have had similar issues with Chase which sometimes requires 3 -5 attempts.dealyboy said:

The only option available was 'I do not have ID', this presented a list of documents for personal ID and one for address verification. I chose my state pension award letter for 2024/2025 for the ID as it is a 'benefit' and my council tax assessment letter for my address. Note: These were the only two documents that I could use as the lists included 'paper driving licence' (abolished in 2016), bills, statements and obscure documents ... of course I don't receive paper bills or statements. It asks if you have an account or if you are a 'new customer' at the very start. I did it al in 10 mins. It was very easy. It did refuse my Driving ID first time but I just tried again and it was ok.Nomlet1970 said:Going around in circles!!
