    Says so here:

    http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/planning-and-information/before-you-travel/baggage-advice/baggage-advice.aspx

2 bags (each) up to 23kg per bag, which is pretty generous compared to the stingy 15kg allowance with Thomas Cook.

yep , this pretty much standard with most Atlantic carriers . 2 x 23kg per person . make sure you use it for all your cheap booty back from the states, , take a empty case if you need to .

    Thomas cook direct.

    leaving on

    2/4/08 7 nights = £219 14 nights = no results returned ( call them if need be)

    9/4/08 7nights =£199 14 nights =£369

    16/4/08 7 nights + 14 nights = £ no results returned

    23/4/08 7 nights = £504 14 = £504

by the way i notice a offer for the Tropicana fatwallet for $45 . there have been a lot of very negative reports on the place in LVA recently, so i would steer well clear.

On all our previous flights with bmi the baggage allowance has been 2 bags each at up to 32kgs each, but I couldn't find that on their website now so I emailed them.

They have confirmed that it has been changed and is now 2 bags per person at up to 23kgs each.

We take 2 cases out and a large empty holdall that we use for the dirty laundry on the way back.

We had a stroll down to the Trump that opened today. Absolutely stunning lobby (and restrooms!). It has all gold fixtures and stunning chandeliers. Beautiful.

I thought so too but we flew PE with Virgin last week and it was 2 bags up to 32k each for PE...2 up to 23k each for economy...same hand luggage allowance between the classes.

Either way, it's plenty. :) we always have a medium packed case inside a big case on the way out - that way we have an empty big case to bring back full. :)

We're looking at possible dates for October and slightly disappointed that the M+M fares are a lot more than we normally pay for November...coming in about £480 each for economy as opposed to +/- £300 - and this trip there's 4 of us...less than £100 savings per ticket using M+M so not sure if we'll save the miles and pay the full fare or not. Decisions, decisions.

Interestingly, we earned miles and tier credits on our last flight even though they were booked with M+M and the terms said that no miles or tier credits would be earned. Especially good as my husband needed 1 tier credit to make silver (I already have it but it runs out shortly)...so we can use PE check-in in June even though we've booked economy.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

off to Vegas then NYC on Sunday.

Only problem is my nervous side is now kicking in. I am flying out of Heathrow and into Dallas Fort Worth where i have an hour and half to make my connecting flight to Las Vegas.

I have heard mixed opinions saying i will have to take my bags through imigration and then check them back in and board the second flight. Is this right or will my bags be automatically redirected to my connecting flight?

Also is an hour and half long enough for my connection?

That's why we booked our July/Aug flights back in November. They had a sale on and the flights were just over £500 each (direct from Man). Same flights now are just under £900 each !

I think you just have to keep checking and as soon as you see a price you think is OK, get them booked (no messing around !).

    Hi Ting Tong,

Me too - booked in November 07 for our flights going on 29 June direct from Manchester - they were £830 for two in total - same flights now are about £700 each!!!! I guess you have to book VERY EARLY to get a good deal in June/July.

Last year our flights for the same time were with Mytravel - indirect - and we paid about £900 for the two of us. I would prefer not to fly with them again if I had a choice.

Good luck to OP in getting a good deal - if you do get one - let us know where from ;)
