November/DecemberWe have been thinking of exchanging some euros when we next go to Vegas. The €/$ rate is so much better than the €/£, and we have a euro account.
Have any of you done this?
Do you know what rate the casinos use for exchanges of this type? (i.e. bank rate + what?)

How to you arrange internet access at the Palazzo? Do you have to call the front desk for a code or how does it work?
I've never needed internet access in Vegas before, but will be taking my laptop next month.
I only want it for one day of our stay. Do you have to get a different code for each day?

When you switch your laptop on and go to your browser, you will be directed to pick up the connection. Once you have that the Palazzo page will open. You have to put in a password (which is actually your room number and part of your surname). This is for charging purposes. When you check-in you have to give the hotel your credit card and they take a $100 reserve for incidental charges. When you check out you get credited back what you haven't used. You pay for Internet access per 24 hours. Once the 24 hours is up you have to repeat the process. I hope that makes sense. Trust me, it really is easy and it must be for me to say that!)
I bet you weren't expecting such an immediate reply - I'm on this emailing friends and boring them with all the details of our trip while I wait for DH to wake up! (I'm still struggling with my sleeping here.) I must admit I've found having the laptop with me really handy for keeping in touch back home (what with the time difference).0 -

Not sure how much each hotel reserves for incidentals and how long for, but I still have a block from Bellagio of £133 on my credit card, and I have been back home a week now, and didnt have any incidental charges to collect.0 -
Hi everyone,
been reading through the threads and thought I would ask for some tips for an August Honeymoon.
We are thinking of making a trip to the West Coast, possibly flying into San Francisco, then maybe doing a bit of travelling by car to various locations but definitely wanting to fit at least 3 nights in at Las Vegas.
Flight wise the cheapest I have been able to find so far is for about £700.
What sort of prices would people expect to pay for flights in August to LV or SF?
Also would you advise flying into one place and out of the other to UK?
Dates should be fairly flexible really.0 -
as someone who is about to stay @ NYNY, can you elaborate? t'is a special occassion for me so don't want to stay somewhere if it's that bad
Its not a bad hotel but in that price range there are many others that we prefer. If its a special occasion I'd avdise giving both the MGM and NYNY a miss and spending a few more $'s for one of the top notch hotels.0 -

Flight prices drop dramatically after about the 20th of the month due to school kids heading back to school. We've never had to pay more than £340 for a flight in august from London to Phoenix/SF/LV/LA or Manchester to LV.
...but the down side is we are willing to wait to the last minute before booking. sounds to me ike you will want something booked sooner rather than later!0 -
would i be lucky to get a flight to Vegas for a family of 4 for around 2k or is that wishful thinking, would want to book soon to be honest0

only first 3 nights @ NYNY on a 17night adventure
i'm not so worried now
(incidently, NYNY park avenue view room @ £55 a night so thought is was good value)0 -
MayMany thanks Mardrew. That's much clearer now as I didn' have a clue. How did you find out what your password would be, did you enquire at check in?
bigfoot, when are you going and from which airport? You should be able to get direct flights for under £500pp, but it depends on where you are going.
Our flights are always more expensive as we have to add on a domestic flight from Aberdeen to Manchester.0
