i always use this service http://www.ratebuster.co.uk/pages/home.asp?tid=ID0000001&icid=K013-2559744-138KEVAPPC27960=K
add 00 to the 1 at start of the number you posted ( so dial 001.877.880.0880 when prompted )
sometimes links can go down ect , but i don't often have any problems
Hi Trets,
Thanks for the info again. I couldn't get the ratebuster line to work for me but I just called them anyway.
We have ended up spending more money!!
When we looked down the list of prices for each room type we noticed that we could get a Celebrity Spa Suite for $129 per night.
My girlfriend's eyes lit up when she looked over the pics & details. So for an extra $60 we booked it. The lady from the MGM congratulated me on getting such a good rate - so a big thank you to you from us!!
Now we have 2 nights in Bill's, 2 nights in the Venetian along with 3 nights in the MGM as stated abvove & a Bon Jovi concert at the MGM in between.

Good luck with phoning the MGM. I had to call them as I booked online then noticed on my credit card statement that the deposit had been taken off twice.
I can't remember how long it took to get through to the first number, but it wasn't quick. They then gave me a number for Accounts and I was on the phone for a total of 1h 20m. Just as well it was only 1p/min.
Turned out there were two confirmation numbers for the same date and they refunded one, but I only ever received one confirmation email.
Hi Luci,
I was lucky enough to speak to someone with 1 min. She upgraded me without any issues so we're happy!!
Maybe I wasn't patient enough with the 1p thing but held on for 2 or 3 mins each time without hearing a thing at the other end.

Hi Guys
Apologies if this ought to be on the telephones board but I thought you regular travellers might be able to answer me.
OH is in the Las Vegas area for 6 weeks and although I usually use the low cost access numbers I've now signed up to 18185 to get even cheaper calls to him.
Can any of you tell me if he would be charged for the following if he used these methods to give me say three rings to our landline to let me know to call him back (without me answering and a connection being made):
calling from his UK mobile
calling from a PAYG US mobile (which he may need to buy for work anyway)
calling from his hotel room
calling using a pre-paid phone card
Thanks in advance x0 -

If you call his mobile, he will still be paying part of the cost as well.
My sister called me while I was away, I was charged 75p a minute for receiving the call from her0 -

Hi my partner and I and our 2 best freinds are going to go to vegas in april may next year.We would also like to see california LA,San fran,San Diego so I was wandering what airport would be best to travel too ? My good lady and I will be tying the know in vegas so I dont know whether to leave vegas as highlight of trip or do it first and have rest as honeymoon.I have to take her to Grand Canyon so I think a 2 day trip would be best as she realy wants a good look there so i guess that would be done best on drive too or from vegas ?.Last but not least flights I would realy like to travel from Gatwick as its only 30 mins from me although Heathrow and Stanstead arnt far they are a lot more hassle. And i would like a nice comfy seat as am a large fella my last visit to orlando I went with Mytravel and paid for the upgraded big seat imho it was worth every penny. My first trip to orlando I went with Delta with connections I got upgraded on way to conneticut which was awsome but on way home it was real uncomfy especialy for my lady as she was in between me and another biggie bless her.So who can you suggest we can fly with that can offer sensible price large seats ? that would possibly fly to vegas and LA so we could have option of flying into one and out of another. Also when should we be looking to book flights for fair prices ? many thanks for any advice anyone can offer Paul0

Paul,
Virgin fly to Vegas and LA from London, (in fact they are the only people who fly direct to Vegas from London). They fly Vegas from Gatwick which is helpful for you but fly LA from Heathrow!! We're flying from Gatwick but returning to Heathrow which is a small logistical problem we've had to sort out.
Virgin seats aren't renowned for being the biggest, we prebooked a pair of the seats at the back which means we haven't got to worry about the "third wheel" as it were. On my trip to Chicago I paid extra for an exit seat to get the extra legroom but i'm happy with this choice for this trip.
Hope that helps a little.

Hi all - thought I would update you on our trip.
Flights with Virgin were fine albeit they did run out of drinks which I believe is usual. We booked the 2 seats at the back as recommended.
Checked into Excalibur but were given 2 queens and not a king. Told we could change the following day. As you know the wedding party were staying at the Venetian, Treasure Island and Palazzo. We walked for 45 minutes to meet them and I can honestly say the Venetian is incredible. If you are a couple on your own the Excalibur is fine but we felt very much out of it so moved to the Mirage which was superb even though the Volcano is under repair. Visited The Paris, New york, MGM Grand just couldn't believe the enormity of the place. I think it took us about 40 minutes to find our way to the lions. The wedding was perfect and the wedding meal was in the Stratosphere. All the boys went on those daring rides and also went to the Grand Canyon. Us wimpy girls went shopping!!
Would definately go back. Will try to post some pics soon.
So thanks to you all for your helpful tips.
