    hello
i am thinking of booking the signature for 3 nights at $159 a night, my question is I understand it is attached to the MGM but how long does it take to walk to the strip from your room. I have already booked NY NY and the Flamingo so what recommendations do you all have.
    Thankyou.
Also I booked the plaza a suite downtown for 2 nights but after reading on tripadviser I may change as it has terrible reviews, has anyone any experience of this hotel.
    THANKS

The walk from the Signature tower 1 (the closest tower to the MGM) to the strip is about 10 minutes and some of it is on moving walkways. A lot of people on trip advisor were moaning about it, but after going I dont see what their problem is!!

    Nice wedding.......:)
I couldn't get on to the Chapels website last night and gave up at midnight. Have been able to watch it this morning though and agree it was perfect. I loved the idea of the bride and groom lighting the middle candle to become one. Saw my 2 daughters in the back row on the right which made me a happy bunny

Pinkpinkfizz - this will make you laugh.

Last night I got home from work & my DH started talking with some friends about the best steak he has ever had & how he hasn't been able to find anywhere over here yet that does a steak as good as what he had. Asked him where he ate this steak & he said the Top of the World restaurant for lunch.

Said to him I've seen your steak today, so I kindly logged onto the internet & proudly showed him your photo, it certainly did make his mouth water.

Weirdest thing was before he mentioned the topic I hadn't even mentioned that I was reading your post today. Spooky, your photo must of been sending some sort of aroma in the air.

    Great trip report pinkpink
On the first day we went to the Outlet Mall in the south end of the strip and took the Deuce bus to get there.......... The outlet was quite good, although several shops were the same, but the Timberland outlet shop was exceptional value for money. This mall is all indoors.
For me, the best shop at the Outlet Mall was the Tommy Hilfiger where I got some real bargains......e.g. picked up three shirts for about £40 where the RRP was well over £100

As soon as evening time approached “the flickers” came out. “the flickers” as I named them were seedy looking men & women who stood at the side of the street flicking pictures/business cards, of scantily clad women and trying to get everyone to take the pictures. They all wore oversized t-shirts printed with “GIRLS TO YOUR DOOR, JUST CALL …..” I thought they were so funny as they never discriminated who they offered the cards to and weren’t offended that we just walked passed and never took any cards. They stood relentlessly flicking their cards and sticking their arm out in the hope someone would take the cards.
As it was getting late one night, my mates were offered "BUY 1 GET 1 FREE" by a couple of ropey girls in the Venetian.

Presumably triple Nectar points available as well :)

the Sex card guys ( or flickers as pinkfzz calls them ) are a nuisance . it makes me laugh that they have there own uniforms as well now .

also the girl who is on the side of all those mobile billboards that trawl the strip day and night , ( she has curly blond hair i believe) from the same bunch who hand out the cards must be the most seen face in Las Vegas . i counted five trucks with her on in row by the bus stop once .

my advice . put hands in pockets walk past , don't make eye contact and ignore . there was quite a gauntlet of them outside Harrahs last visit.

we went over Labour Day weekend (went to the north and the south shops)
at the North one (outdoor) we has an absolute field day - due to theHoliday weekend most stores had extra disounts off (FCUK was an extra 50-75% if I recall) I got FCUK jeans for £5, CK pants for £4 - Tommy Jumpers for £15 and a Ralph Lauren jumper (my best by) end of range sale for £2:eek:

we spent nearly £800 on clothes, handbags etc. and had to leave some old stuff behind.

Next time I am going in the clothes I stand at the airport in and a toothbrush
