AprilThanks trets, I've just registered but have been reading all your info for a while. We go back to vegas in august and want to go to phantome at the venetian, do you know the best way to get the cheapest tickets? Thought I'd ask the expert! Thanks
we had no problem getting them half price from Tickets tonight .

you are more likely to find them on weekdays rather than weekends . don't forget to print off the coupon in the link below, to get a $1 per ticket off and go join the VIP line ( and cut in front of the regular line) . get there at opening to get the shows that sell quicky. your best bet is to see if they have any for sale the day before , and then you will know how to play it on the day you want to go. after picking up the voucher they give you, you can then go to Venetian ticket office to collect your proper tickets and be assigned a seat. we went straight away and and got front and center seats no problem. you have to collect your tickets at least an hour before the show.

i highley reccomend the show , and we sat in the Balcony which was excellent and would seem to be better choice for the show than on the floor.
 Great trip report PinkFizz !!! i,m ready to go back tomorrow after reading it and seeing the photos , let alone waiting five weeks .
The Luxor isn't due to be demolished any time soon , that i'm aware of, and it always seems to do great buisness . it will be around for a fair while yet.
I know the strip between Sahara and Downtown is very tacky ( espically compared to the strip ) but your pretty safe on Fremont Street , i have walked to El Cortez from Fremont in the dark which is a little scary , but nothing happened .
are you planning to go back Pinkfizz??
  Have a great trip Ferf !!!!!! :beer:Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Im not certain if this has been noted before - I had it in my review but it was buried in the middle and it is really VERY important = if you want to eat at The Top Of The World resturant it is best to book about 4 - 6 weeks before you want to go - you need to phone them (doesnt take long) as otherwise there is a good chance you will be disapointed - not vastly expensive and as you see from Pink Fizz pictures has stunning views
- I would recommend getting there whilst still light and going on the viewing deck
- having a few drinks in the bar
- having dinner as the sun goes down
- then going up to the observation just as darkness fails with the spookily warm breeze.
Loved it so much we are going back again in August woooooo0 -
Just to keep you updated. The wedding is today 9p.m. our time. The wedding party have had a Wedding breakfast at the Venetian with champagne and the works. My other daughter Emily is doing the brides make-up as I type and Tasha is still over the moon with the Mirage (Volcano or not). The evening dinner is at the Stratosphere Top of the world restaurant so can't wait to hear all about it. I will be logged on to the Little Chapel to watch.0

Thanks for a great report and photos pinkpinkfizz - officially the last thing I will read before we take the kitties to 'jail' and head for the airport very shortly...flight out in the morning. Hooray!
Thanks to all here for your tips and advice and general banter - and for those who will also be there in the next few weeks may we all return home richer than we left (and if not, may we all have excellent times, anyway).
Cheers,

Aprilhello
i am thinking of booking the signature for 3 nights at $159 a night, my question is I understand it is attached to the MGM but how long does it take to walk to the strip from your room. I have already booked NY NY and the Flamingo so what recommendations do you all have.
Thankyou.
Also I booked the plaza a suite downtown for 2 nights but after reading on tripadviser I may change as it has terrible reviews, has anyone any experience of this hotel.
THANKS0 -
AprilI know trets posted the $1 off tix4tonite link, in this link you can get a $2 off per ticket but not jump the line, there are various other printable coupons to.

they have changed it. i would prefer to queue cut rather than save the extra $1 anyday. if you do purchase with them make sure you keep you stubs ect as then you can use them to use VIP queue. they tell you all this when buy the tickets anyway. :beer:Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
