  • well that's my trip report. Reading through it I know I've missed out things that we have done. We achieved what we set out to do and that was to cover as much of Vegas as possible in 4 nights/ 5days. It was exhausting but wonderful. I simply can't wait to go back and take my time to pick and choose what I go and see and do next time.

    hope you all enjoy!

    Morning Pink Pink Fizz,

What an excellent trip report. It sounds like you had an amazing time – didn’t you pack a lot in? Myself and my other half went for 14 nights last year and didn’t do as much as you – I bet you were glad of your comfy trainers!!!

The only thing I would add is the Luxor – it may not be as flashy as some other hotels, BUT the Imax there is fantastic. We saw one there and ended up going back on our last day as I was mesmerised by it. They had a dinosaur one and an under the sea one – try them next time you’re there. We also tried the “Hunt for the Obelisk” ride – but corny & cheesy, but enjoyable all the same.

You didn’t say if you checked out the Wynn or not, but its definitely worth a visit on your next trip. It is amazing and very classy with an atmosphere of its own. Once you’ve been to Vegas you always want to go back – are you planning your next trip already?

I have been told that the reason you cant sleep when in Vegas is cos they intermittently pump pure oxygen in to your room with the air con to encourage you to get up and go spend some money. Not sure how much I buy into this theory but I – like you, would only need about 4-5 hours sleep and I was wide awake and thoroughly refreshed. Maybe it’s the pure excitement/adrenalin of being in one of the best cities in the world!!!

By the way - isnt the chocolate fountain in the Bellagio amazing? Those crepes - mmmm, I always put on about a stone whilst there - the food is just amazing isnt it - as you say, even the sandwiches and fast food over there is so superior to ours here.

Good luck with getting back into the swing of things - I always have the vegas blues for about a fortnight!!!!

Thanks again for sharing your experiences - I am definately going to check out the Stratosphere on my next trip - though I wont be as brave as your other half Im afraid!!!

Thanks for a great report and photos pinkpinkfizz - officially the last thing I will read before we take the kitties to 'jail' and head for the airport very shortly...flight out in the morning. Hooray!

Thanks to all here for your tips and advice and general banter - and for those who will also be there in the next few weeks may we all return home richer than we left (and if not, may we all have excellent times, anyway).

    Cheers,
    Jen

Loved the trip report PinkpinkFizz. You were lucky with the Bellagio room upgrade. We didn't want to chance the $20 tip for an upgrade, so paid for a Lakeview Room at time of booking as I would of been disappointed if we didn't get it. Yes distances can be deceiving in Vegas, on our first day of arrival we wanted to go to Fry's electrical's which is located next to Town Square, we had passed it on the way from the airport by taxi & was told it will take a 20min walk, after walking for 1 hour we finally arrived (I must add we were staying at the Mandalay Bay at this point) we wouldn't of walked it from the Bellagio.

Great trip report pink....I wouldnt be able to walk for a week if I had done as much as you.

Great view you had from your room.

Strang that I had just posted about the chocolate fountain when you come along and post a pic of it.
