you can sneak in the inclinator even if you're not a guest tho ;)

seriously though, i liked the luxor but was a bit underwhelmed by the inclinators unfortunately :( (probably cos they would have been a million times better if they were glass!)

on the subject of tipping cocktail waitresses, the more you tip, the stronger the subsequent drinks seem to get :D

If you want to see a Tribute Act don't miss Legends in Concert at the Imperial Palace. We see it every time we're in Vegas and never tire of it. Even when I haven't been keen on the line up I've still enjoyed the show.

You can get tickets at the half price ticket booths and it's usually $61 for 2 of us inc the taxes and service charge. I got a coupon for $2 off the service charge off the internet. Try Google.

At the moment we have plans to see Legends, George Wallace, Carrot Top, Defending the Caveman and maybe the Jersey Boys. Will all depend how we feel once we're there.

I once tipped $2 on a taxi fare under $10 and the drive came after me shouting that it wasn't enough. It was about 30% and he made me feel awful. I try to avoid using taxis as much as possible.

Comedy = lots of choice here on the strip . try one of the comedy clubs at Topicanna , Riviera , Harrahs or Flamingo . also resisdent acts like , Rita Rudner, Carrot top, George wallace , amongst others. these sort of shows often appear at the half price outlets .

Live Music = House of Blues@ Mandalay Bay and Hard rock often have live bands on . you can also find upcoming dates for non resisdent shows here

    http://visitlasvegas.com/vegas/play/shows/results.jsp?page=1

Cirque de Soli ...i'll leave recommendations to people who have seen some of them .

Tribute acts . Stratosphere and Imperial Palace have tribute acts as their main Headliners , there are loads of others around ..pick up the free Magazines to see what takes your fancy

as for Broadway shows. my top picks are Blue man Group , Mamma Mia and Phantom of the Opera

    thx some gret info

Hi all I'm Tashawasha's Mum. Thank you all for all the help you gave her when planning this trip.

They all arrived safely and everyone is happy with their choice of Hotels - except Tasha who was at the Excalibur. Apparently the 20$ trick didn't work for them and they were given a twin room instead of a King. Being moved to a King room today. They also find it very noisy from the cars. Having seen the Mirage promotion which has gone on sale today I just phoned to tell them. They have checked out of Excalibur and going up to the Mirage to see if they can get this promotion, if not I will book it on line for them.
My other daughter is raving about Treasure Island and the wedding pair can't believe how luxurious the Venetian is.

Shame the $20 trick didnt work and hope she gets sorted. I do believe that she was warned about the Excalibur it certainly wouldnt be in my top 10 places to stay. I have never had problems with traffic noise in all my trips there tho.

Like I said tho I hope she gets sorted, the Mirage would def be better

    Thanks Photome.
The Mirage front desk couldn't give them the promo rate so I have just booked it on line for them and text over the reservation number. They will be checking out of Excalibur tomorrow so will still have 5 nights at the Mirage. She was on such a tight budget that even with the knowledge that Excalibur wasn't in the same league as the other hotels still went ahead. I last visited Vegas in 1996 and could not get her to undestand how vast it is and how different the hotels are. Albeit when we were there quite a few hadn't even been built! As most of the wedding party (12) are at the Venetian, (4) at Treasure Island, (2) at Pallazzo they walked for 45 minutes from Excalibur last night to meet up with them and took a cab back for 15$. She realised that they would have to do this everyday (maybe twice a day) and so the cheaper price at Excalibur when adding on the taxi fares wasn't quite so cheap. She hasn't as yet sussed out the bus. So one now very happy bunny.

Thanks for the comments on the photos Trets, mainly taken by my girlfriend.
she has a really old cheap battered digi camera (Minolta) but it takes absolutely amazing photos..they dont show up on here as good as the real piccy but still look really good.We use her camera more than my super doopa Sony due to the results!!
Thinking of trying to sell some as postcard photos to the shops when we go back !!!!!
