Wish I had a decision like that to make, this is prob our last trip to Vegas for a few years.:mad:0 -

5 of us are going to Vegas for my 40th on the 16th March, we all have mobiles so will be wanting to call home every day to the UK (we are going without are partners :-) ). Is it best to get local PAYG sims or whatever the equivalant is in the states, we will prob be wanting to call and text each other whilst there also?
Many thanks and Vivaaaaaaaa Las Veeeeeeeeeeee
cant wait (Stopping at the IP by the way for cheapness and location, did Circus Circus last time but its too far up one end, got the whole deal, 5 nights in 3x deluxe rooms, direct flights with Virgin from Gatwick for a little over £600 each)
I have always bought a fone card and used a payphone, dont know if it is cheapest but it worked for me0 -
Come on chaps and chapesisseseses, as per earlier post whats your tips for cheep drinks and is Freemont Street worth a visit for 5 fellas on an evening out?
As mentioned earlier i know about Slots of Funs cheap beer and frozen Margarittas, any other casinos have cheap bars ect for a group of middle aged skin flints :-)0 -

Well got home v late on saturday night actually, and have been very sick and unwell since then  Feeling a good bit better today so started to upload my photos
Can I just say a HUGE HUGE thank you to everyone who posts on here, as I had taken loads of hints and tips and put them into a little note book, then when we arrived in a hotel/casino I just read up on it and we didn't miss very much at all, so thank you again to everyone.
I am going to get my trip report started and will post it on here when I get the chance. I'll also read up on how to post a photo or two.
Vegas is AMAZING and I can't wait to go back
Glad you had a great time and another Vegas convert:T
If you want to post bigger pics open them up first and then right click go to properties and then post the link. (heres me telling somone when I was struggling last week) I think that will work0 -

I think Casino Royale do $1 bottles.
Is freemont street worth it.
Yes if you want to see the light show, and you could have a steak meal in Binions...Trets raves about it. , but No if all you want to do is drink.0 -
Trets is it the Binions Ranch Steakhouse where you go for your quality steak?
There is a buy 1 entree get one free for there, in the ACG if it is.0 -

Awww...that's no good. At least you know this in advance and can be sure to really enjoy this trip! Not long now.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I agree with photome's suggestion of Casino Royale - $1 Michelobs unless something has changed (also $1 frozen Margaritas). All could sign up for the Players Club at Bills - if they're still giving the same book of vouchers they had in November they have loads of buy one, get one free drinks vouchers for many casinos...otherwise hang out in a slot area for a bit where you can see a waitress circulating...put a bit of cash in the machine and just play really slowly until she comes by...tip her nicely and she'll probably be back quite frequently.
As for Fremont Street - it's a relative thing...some love it, some loathe it...I would say try it out and see which category you fall into.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
