I'm thinking that if I break up my cruise package, I could work out a better deal.. Are there any travel firms that will let you negotiate on prices for Vegas hotels like you can do with cruises?

    Thanks!

why not just book direct with the hotel
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Just a quick defence of the Excalibur I went there for the first time in 1991 and I stayed there again in early December this year as it was mega cheap .
I found it surprisingly good I had one of here non refurbished rooms and the nice lady at check in was quick and helpful and the room was comfortable quiet and had a great view. The downside is the buffet which is best avoided but there are dozens of others to chose from in Vegas. I am a 3 times a year Vegas nut and have stayed at most places over the years and the Excalibur is certainly on my list of acceptable places to stay.

Hi I also stayed here last april just for 3 nights and we had a newly refurbished room with a strip view and it was lovely, BUT the buffet is absolutely terrible so avoid it. But if you get it cheap as we did ( $59 ) a night then it is well worth it.

Reports of an unadvertised sale on Delta flights - my husband said that flights to Vegas were coming in at around £236 including taxes...while there would be a connection, it may be worth it to some. Dates to at least April from what I understand.

I also checked flights to Chicago in June and they are coming up quite a bit less than anywhere else - so worth trying a number of options to see what is available.

Edited to add - the Delta system isn't as user friendly as some in that you can't choose an 'all London' or 'all New York' etc. airports option - so may be worth trying different combinations.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Thanks ferf!!
I have just had a look at the delta site as you advised and they are REALLY good prices. £730 for two return going 29/6/08 for 14 nights - returning 13/7/08 from Manchester. That is the best price I have seen for that time of year in a VERY LONG TIME. They are indirect flights though and I have already booked my direct flights with BMI in their November 07 sale for £820 for two - I feel that the £100 is more than worth the hassle of changing planes - but anyone considering going to Vegas at this time of year (with WSOP on) - get booking as all the direct BMI flights are now in excess of £900 (well, last time I checked that was....)

    Thanks again ferf!

Looking at booking the Signature for the last 3 nights of my stay in March for $199 a night plus tax plus resort fee......Is it really worth it, as anyone who is a regular on here knows, I like to do things on the cheap, rarely have I paid more than $100 a night.

    I hate spending money :rotfl:

I know a few on here have stayed there, I am happy normally with likes of PH, Paris, flamingo....all for much much less

Where did you get the strat for £30 a night ?? especially the Sat night you cant normally arrive on a saturday?? I am looking at staying there for my first three nights ( I have a booking there from someone elses email for a total of $150 for the three but I think I may have to cancel that one.

Very well noticed, i wasnt 100% clear with my posting, sunday, monday, tuesday and wedbesday at the strat booked at that rate through hotels.com
The saturday night (the night we get there we are staying at a cheap hotel) as we wont get there till late and its not worth paying the £66 for the night there.

How do they like people from the UK going through the US site. I've heard some airlines don't like you going to other countries sites?

It's our hotel of choice nowadays but at $199 I'd be looking elsewhere.
