Have been following this thread with interest. We( me hubby ds23,dd19)will all be in Las Vegas round 5/6 July next year. Can someone tell me what happens when we go into a bar/casino.ds is 23, so he is OK, does dd have to wait outside? I know the laws are very strict,dd and i were in NY this year, we didn't go into bars but restaurants with bars and they were Ok with this but naturaly she didn't drink. Is LV different? As we will only have maybe 2 nights there and to keep costs down only want 1 large room with 2 beds, what would you suggest? Don't mind staying some where a bit more expensive due to our short stay.0

We went in October with DS just turned 21. Even hanging around a table watching he was asked for ID, (not every time) so I would say they are strict about the 21 thing.

The local government in Las Vegas is looking at lowering the age limit for gambling to 18 but the only stumbling block seemed to be the 21 limit for drinking. This was a main topic on their local news when I was there 2 weeks ago.0 -

I totally feel like a broken record with my Bally's fixation, but if you're looking for a large room with 2 beds Bally's rooms are some of the largest standard rooms on the strip and not terribly expensive. There will be only one bathroom though, not sure if that's an issue. It's a good location and the north tower rooms are slightly more expensive but much nicer than the south..not terribly expensive and it may be that you're willing to do something more posh than Bally's.
Your daughter will likely be approached if she stops for any period in a casino (she can walk through with you, but she'll have to keep moving...they don't really even allow under 21s to hang around watching over 21s olay). She should be allowed into restaurants that also have bars, but won't be allowed into bars or clubs. Some shows are 21+ only as well (not many, more are 16+ or 18+ so she'll be OK there).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberHi guys,
Just popped on to post a note that my holiday was fantastic. Got back at weekend and struggling to get back into the swing of sleeping and working etc etc. I've made some notes for a trip report but these are LONG (11 days), so I'll type some bits up and summarise good and bad stuff to post over ther weekend. Gotta catch up on this thread too.
A few quick notes
Didn't crash the rental car :rotfl:
City Centre is huge and really towers over the Bellagio Fountains
Venetian was stunning
OH proposed, very unexpectedly. I said yes obviously
Met up with Pebblesmax who intoduced me to margaritas
Really want to go back again, now!Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
