i've yet to answer the poll... mainly because I don't know :)

so far i've only been in:
    December
    May
    June

... even then, the May / June trip were at either end of the same (16day) one! :)

I do April next year so i'm getting a few under my belt now though :D and the bro-in-law is going for his birthday in 3yrs (August)...

my favourite time to go is when flights are cheap, but if I had to pick a month, i'd say June would be good :) nice reasonable weather and you don't have to pack much clothing! :D
  • Hi All,

I'm interested in the latest deal from the MGM Grand :-
    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/b... kbid=1162904

In particular I like the look of the Bungalow Suite. I'm going at the end of March & a Bungalow Suite is $908 for 7 days. Seems cheap! Even with a lousy exchange rate.

The main question is : Where are the Bungalow Suites? Are they a long wlk from the main casino? Can somebody give an opinion on this (non-refundable)deal please.

I know the principle is NOT to book non-refundable - but .......?

I can't help with the specifics on the rooms, but that offer is interesting if you open one window with the rate calendar of the offer...and open another window with the rate calendar for booking without any offer codes at all - just from their main website...some nights are the same price (which seems odd as effectively the offer ISN'T available those nights as you're not getting any better deal)...but some are dramatically discounted - like 55% off their standard rates - at least looking at the basic rooms.

55% off the normal rate seems pretty good to me especially for something that far out, though I have never really researched the MGM so can't say whether this is normal or not for their deals...also in the current economic climate it could happen that they were pretty much offering to pay you to stay there by the time March rolls around. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

we have radically different ideals of what 'nice reasonable weather' is. :)

We will never go in the summer ever again...unless it's the only time we can go in which case of course we will.

    Hi,

I stayed in a Bungalow Queen suite in May, very nice room, spacious, comfy sofas and a large bathroom. The one we stayed in was just a few rooms down the corridor on the 5th floor (I think). I believe there are some at the end of the corridors as well, so you may want to ask when you check in.

I loved the MGM Grand, I know some aren't too sure because of the size but when you get the layout in your head its fine.

Please ask if you have any more questions.

    Hi Stew,

So where are the Bungalow Suites situted within the building?

Are they part of the main builing or are they a seperate annexe (like the Signature)?

Sounds as if you'd go back there

    Kizziedog,

The bungalow suites are in the main part of the building with all the other rooms (apart from West Tower, which I've heard isn't as nice)

I can't compare the prices for you as we were there over the Memorial Day weekend (the same as our Spring Bank Holiday) but I would say when I booked originally in the New Year I managed to get three reductions in price before we went following the links other kind posters posted on here so you may want to think about the non refundable option.

    Stew.

PS. Hey Trets, your thread just hit 300 pages!! :j Congratulations for a fantastic thread.
