    hi

    Me again :)

Just wondering if any of you can help with a car hire questions.

We dont have CC, and we have tried but due to this credit crunch business no one will give us one : ( Alamo WILL loan us a car with a cash deposit, although they are coming in as being quite high.

Dollar & Avis want a CC.

Are there any other hire cos that will rent a car to us without a credit card that anyone knows of? Keen prices OBV please!

Alamo via holiday autos will cost us 167. Dollar will cost us 87 :( but alas they wnt touch us?!

    Ideas please?!?!?!

Dollar has signs on all of their desks saying no debit cards credit cards only I dont know if this would apply to a pre paid Credit card i know that my LLoyds Bank money card at the hotels at least shows as a credit and not debit card !

    RESULT!!! :T

As per usual, Enterprise have come up trumps. We hire cars fairly regularly and they are always the best- theyve surpassed themselves this time :D

they are doing us a compact from the AM of the 29th to 5pm on the 2nd for a grand total of £40.52

They WILL take a cash deposit from the debit card of 350USD at the desk.

Just in case any other moneysavers are interested, hiring a car in the US is not a problem- with a debit card/ cash dep.

Alamos cash dep was lower at 200, but the price obviously A LOT higher.

Im starting to get VErrrrrrrry excited now :j

The wife and I are hoping to go to LV this year new (its my 40th on new years eve), we've found a flight for £670 return (each), is this likely to be the best price we'll get for flights or should we wait a little longer, secondly, what would be a good thing / show to see / do on new years eve ?

Depends on your exact dates and where you are flying from but quick look on www.travelocity.co.uk shows Delta (29/12-5/1) for £483.50 including taxes from London so it might pay you to shop around a bit. I think £670 is bit high personally.I wouldn't wait too long though another week and they'll go up. If you see a good fare grab it !
I think you need to book fast if you want a show NYE-some shows are dark and the others book fast as Vegas will be VERRY busy ! What kind of show were you thinking ? Circ, comedy, big name artist ?

Is that the 29th nov to 2nd dec, and are those extras in pounds per day in which case the total rental would be about £130. Carhire3000 would be allinc for £78.. to include extra drivers and a full tank...BUT I dont know what their position is on the credit card, but they do have a freefone number

Looks to me like the TC/MyTravel flight to Vegas is close to £200 at the end of the month if anyone can do a late notice trip.

£230 if standard baggage+ no food
Still £450ish at Christmas/ New Year
  • Anyone tried Lucky Chengs?? Looks like it could be worth a visit? Searched this thread but cant find anybody mentioning it?
