see, I think some of the cocktail waitresses at other casinos (Wynn's comes immediately to mind) put the Hooters girls to shame.

But still, I see your point - they are certainly very pretty girls...and if very pretty girls are your thing then all the better. :)

Ferf I am always with my wife so I dont really look:D , I havent moticed the very short hot pants the hooters girls wear;)

Do you have a car? as the Silverton is a way out of town and prob not worth going unless you do, having said that there is a fantastic outdoor advnture shop next door where you can spend a few hours it is enormous!
The aquariom is just one fish tank all be it very big and loooaaads of fish in it. If you do go i can recomend the buffet there and it is cheaper than most on the strip.
Theres a cracking fish tank behind reception at Mirage.......60 foot long maybe.....all sorts of coloured fish.

we stayed at the Luxor so had to endur 24hr a day carrot top adverts - from the adverts, it didn't appeal to us, however as with many other Vegas shows i'd recommend perhaps having a bit of a look on YouTube first - there's loads of Carrot Top clips on there so you can easily see if he is to your 'taste' :)

incidently, as for things to do, you could always have a read of this (although it may be a bit dated: http://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15903 )

I'm looking to book up for Vegas again in February, and I'm finding the cheapest flight deals are with US Airways via Philadelphia (from Manchester), total journey 15hrs. I've never used US Airways before...can anyone advise what the planes, service etc is like?
Also if anyone else has travelled that route before I'd be interested to hear what you thought (only ever gone direct before). thanks!

I noticed somone looking a deal for Hooters I would like to second look somwhere else. Whilst I dont doubt hooters is cheap and the hotel is probably nicer than IP or CC the casino is terrible and the girls did not look nice. The casino lacks any atmosphere its cold and just boring, if you stay there each time you walk in or out you will see the MGM and think "why did I not book there"

I'm not sure about that - from what I've read (admittedly haven't stayed there myself) they didn't do much in the way of updates from the San Remo days...have read far too many reviews which included mention of bugs in the rooms and otherwise quite dirty too...I wouldn't normally choose IP or CC, but would over Hooters...especially IP as at least it's a good location.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Bed bugs actually have nothing to do with the quality of the hotel nor of the hygiene its down to what the last guests have brought in with them rather than how well its been cleaned unless the mattresses are steamed which rarely happens at any resort, there are instances of people getting bed bugs at Bellagio and Wynn.

The rooms have had a little money spent on them, I have not stayed there since the Sam Remo but I actually thought that was OK, one friend stayed there and said it was basic but he was happy. I have to admit I now would not stay at IP, CC, Hooters, Bills or anything North of Wynn and it seems nuts to me for people to spend £500 on flights an then skimp to save £10 per night and stay in a hole of a hotel. In fact IP is probably the worst hotel I have stayed at not only in the Vegas but in the US I don’t care that the location is good I would rather stay in my car than there and we booked a room at CC and when we walked into it decided that we would not stay there and ended up staying at the GN.

    Cheers
    Simon
