Augustunless you know differently.... still operating......and not British, so why mention them? ...might as well say Air France and their dodgy subsidies.
I can help you out by naming a few charter companies that have gone bust if you really want. Or, if you would rather have another guess ....third time lucky???
Look, if you can compare Alitalia to Air France - one of the worlds biggest airlines/alliances then i am clearly wasting my time trying to convince you otherwise.0 -

You mean you didn't know that the only reason Air France have not gone bust during the last 20 years is because they were continually bailed out by governmental (alleged) illegal subsides?
Have a productful evening and read up on the British Cascade Study to figure out why My Travel are well suited to ride out the credit crisis. Thirty years old, but still relevant.0 -
My company in the US took part in a big trade show each year in Vegas - every single person who went booked the red-eye home to maximize their Vegas time...suspect a lot of conventioneers look at it that way so maybe it's a more popular flight time than it would seem?
I used the red eye home last month as I really needed to be home Sunday night rather than Monday morning. I actually ended up flying LAS DFW ORD LHR left straight from an after show meet & greet at the Flamingo on Saturday night (left my bags with the bell desk and collected them on my way out) onto shuttle and got home late Sunday night. No jetlag at all-although I did upgrade into first (with miles) for the domestic sectors for a comfier seat.
For the first time in years I'm trying Delta as they offered me a status match. Looking forward to the easier journey to Gatwick rather than Heathrow and seeing how DL compare to AA.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi Duchy
We flew with Delta only because it was lots cheaper than AA for when we wanted. In economy, less leg room, no seat back entertainment, friendly staff, food very average, drinks $7, one complimentary with dinner. Would definitely choose AA next time if nearer the same price. (Even tho they were not on my favourites list for customer service last year)0 -
Delta have offered me a status match on the FF program -sounds like I better pack the lappie for entertainment tho ! AA's fares suddenly seem substantially more than DL in the last few months so my trips next year I'll probably stick with whoever is cheaper if I can get bonus miles on both
Thanks for the info ElleI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi all,
i'm off to vegas in just over 2 weeks(27th nov) and am flying BMI direct from manchester, i have been told that seats will be allocated upon checkin(from expedia who i booked through) is there any other way of booking your seat early?
We are staying at TI and wondered if anyone has any advice on what rooms are best, we've booked just a standard room but gonna give the $20 trick a go so any advice on a better room would be great!!
Also we wanna go to the CG whilst there and have not prebooked as dont really know what the weather will be like late nov early dec, We were looking at doing the south rim by plane and heli down the to the bottom, anyone got any experiences of this and any advice on whether its better to prebook or just book once there?
Cheers!0 -

Heli trips to teh GC will only land in the West Rim not the South Rim and you want to go to the South Rim.
At TI dont ask for a strip view room the views at the back of the hotel particually if you are facing South are much better and you dont get all the noise form the Sirens.
Good luck with the $20 tric if you are longer than say 3 nighst make it $50 and let us know how you get onIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
Hello gang
Wonder if anyone can help ?
Ive got a weeks worth of leave to use up between now and Xmas and was considering Vegas
Wondeirng if anyone can give us any idea as to:
Ok ive edited my post as Ive found a nice deal.
Leaving manchester direct with mytravel airtours - on thier flydrive package
its 365pp.
From the looks of things, it costs us £22 to remove the car from the system.
We would like the car hire. but worried about the overramped potential insurance charges.
Does anyone have a guestimate what we could be looking at, and indeed would it be potentailly cheaper to hire a car elsewhere.
Other potentail sticking point is :
anyone know about driving restrictions. We are both in our 30s , OH has only a paper license- not to this address , I have a photo one but have 3 points - tied to old address. Do we have any hope of car hire or shall we sack that idea off?
Thanks in advance Vegasites:beer:
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
A week car inc insurance should be from about £100 thru one of the firms mentionned earlier eg carhire3000, netflights, uscarhire. Just dont pick up the inclusive one or buy any insurances for it and save £20.
Paper license OK. Points shmoints.....I doubt they know what a point is except the other end of a cocktail stick.
You think Americans will look at your address.......youre more likely to get "my cousin lives in Finland.......is that near you?"illegitimi non carborundum0 -
AugustId just like to warn anyone who is thinking of getting a woman for $35 to beware.
Ok, i was left on my own in the hotel some time back and had a card saying i could get woman for $35 i thought id go for it. I called up and a beautiful black woman turned up. She explained that it was $35 for 15 mins, and then $125 for every 15 mins thereafter. I was fine with that thinking that 15 mins was more than enough for seconds and a few pints in the bar afterward, anyway she explained the way it worked and bored me half to sleep then said lets go (basically)
I said right so the 15 mins starts now then (just making a note - although i secretly knew 15 mins wouldn' be a prob) And she said "no" and explained that the 15 mins had started when she turned up - even though she had spent 10 mins boring me with do's and dont's. Needless to say i explained that i was having none of it and sent her on her way.
Moral: If you do get a woman round (or man) then as soon as she walks thorugh the door tell her/him you know how it works and get it sorted before it ends up costing more than its worth.0
