MayDon't knowif I'd call for $12, but maybe $20 so keep monitoring.
Re Priceline, I tried to use the .com site thinking it may be cheaper, but you need an address in the US or Canada to verify your credit card so I used the .co.uk one.
Just make sure you bid in £'s on the UK one as it could be easy to put the dollar price in and pay double what you intended!
Have a practise on Priceline by putting in a ridiculously low amount that couldn't be accepted and be aware that you need to add your credit card details at the bidding stage.
You should get an email back saying your bid hasn't been accepted, but you can't bid again with exactly the same details for 24 hours.

Read my guide luci as it tells you how to register and bid on the Priceline.com and the pros and cons.
As for the US Address. I've just put
CA as the state:
99999 as the zip code
and
SANDIEGO, CA 92110 as the address.
There is no problem doing this. Priceline used to send mail confirmation, they no longer do. They also do not check the billing address of the credit card.
Phone number
Has to be in the format
xxx-xxx-xxxx
If you want a real US number then just Google a US city and pull out a phone number

Mardrew,
There should be a link at the top right of the page for my reservation, click on this and put your reservation number in there along with your email address and it should come up. I managed to cancel my booking this way last month.
Trets,
What can I say, a major thank you for your hard work on this thread, thanks to you I've just managed to save over £300.00 on my booking at the MGM on the run up to Memorial weekend.:j :j :j :j I may have lost my dining credit of $25 but now I can get a discount on a golf game!!!! (Now I need to learn how to play!!)
Thanks again,

AprilTime for another daft question, if you don't mind. I've just been through the link for the Mirage that Trets posted above and have found that the rate for our 3 night stay at The Mirage has dropped since booking it a week ago by $12 in total. (Hardly a vast amount I know.)
I've just gone to try to access our reservation on-line to see if there was an option to see it I could e-mail the hotel and ask for the lower rate or to cancel it so I could rebook it at the slightly cheaper rate and it is saying that the reservation cannot be looked up online. Is this standard or should I be worried? Would it be worth ringing them to get the ever so slightly cheaper price? (At what price drop do people decide to alter their booking?)
TIA
Mardrew (a bit of a worrier!)
the exact same thing happened with my Mirage booking ( i.e could not search it online) , when i rang them up it was on their computer , exactly as booked.
when we checked in i had my printed e mail confirmation ready , they didn't even look at it , they just asked my surname and for my credit card .
ring them if you want , it costs 1p a minute using www.ratebuster.co.uk so what have you got to lose .:A
have a great trip to
Middy60:beer:
not long now for
Pinkpinkfizz
, hope you enjoy your trip
keep the countdown clocks coming guys , there is plenty of space on post #4
i got nice email from Planet Hollywood today
tickets are now on sale here for the Joe Calzagh v Bernard Hopkins fight (ticket only prices start from $350)
http://www.planethollywoodresort.com/fight/
this will of course make Planet Hollywood expensive on and around April 19thBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

  great news . i loved NYNY . things to be aware of . you can always get a 2 for 1 ride on the Manhattan express , just check out the free magazines or take a booklet of coupons the staff hand out inside.
Good food at Il forinaio ( also check out the Deli take out sandwiches ) , Gondzolas Gondzolas, and Nine fine Irish men. Chin Chin was very poor IMO. America is good place to go for some Graveyard dining
defiantly check out The Bar @Times Square with it dueling pianos , defiantly avoid Coyote Ugly unless you are under 23 , and want ringing in your ears for 2 days .mytravel, they've changed to Thomas cook now. £340 per person from Manchester

leaving on
5/3/08 7nights = £319 14 nights = £319
12/03/08 7nights = £504 14 nights = £454
19/3/08 7 nights = £604 14 nights = £554
while we are about it i will also repost the info on the Baggage allowance for these flights . it is only 15kg per person , upgradeable to a whopping  20kg for £20 extra . given that you can have 2 bags @ 23kg per person with Virgin you should take this into accountBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Hi Guys,
I was looking through the fatwallet link earlier & came across 2 deals, 1 for the Luxor directly with hotel via the fatwallet link & another from Expedia for Caesars Palace.
Luxor staying 16th-23rd July:
Ultimate Luxury
• Deluxe Room Accommodations
• Room Rate discounted 15% below the Prevailing Nightly Rate
• $30.00 Dining Credit (Good at FUSIA our Asian Inspired Restaurant or the Luxor Steakhouse)
• 2 for 1 Lunch Buffet at MORE
• 2 for 1 IMAX Movie Tickets
• 2 for 1 Admission to The SPA at Luxor
• 2 for 1 King Tut Museum Admission
The price works out at $731 for the 7 nights.
Same dates for Caesars Palace but Expedia is giving a free upgrade upon check in for 5 nights out of 7. The price is £716 for the 7 nights.
Would any of you guys know what the upgrade would be to - would it just be the deluxe?
I know it's still early but I'm always on the lookout for a deal.
Thanks,0
