Read my guide luci as it tells you how to register and bid on the Priceline.com and the pros and cons.

Many thanks. I just noticed the ink in your earlier post just before I was going out this morning and have come back on to read it in full.

I did make a half-hearted attempt at putting in a fake US address, but was worried about it not tying in with the address my credit card is registered to. I see you have posted that they don't check anyway.

    Off to read your guide.

    Hi

We're spending 4 nights in Vegas just before Christmas, and I wonder what your opinions are about hotels for kids?

My heart was set on the Bellagio, but having read tripadvisor I'm not so sure. Am willing to spend around $200 per night....

    Thanks in advance!!

  • I am going in May with a 7 year old and a ten year old. I can report back. I am staying at the Palazzo but might have two nights somewhere else depending on the deals I can find. I did ask a similar question earlier and somebody suggested Planet Hollywood. Me and the little Mollys do like a bit of luxury though and you would easily get a room at the Palazzo for 200 dollars. It is linked to the Ventian and well placed on the strip.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

The Excalibur is often recommended for people with children, but doesn't get great reviews. There is nothing at Planet Hollywood for kids, but it is a nice hotel. We have stayed there 4 times.

I haven't read the reviews of the Bellagio recently, but we stayed there in November and it was wonderful.

I wouldn't say the Palazzo is well placed on the strip. It's to the far north of the centre, but it is opposite the Fashion Show Mall. Bellagio is much more central.
  • Hi - we are going to Vegas on the 19th March for 2 weeks to stay with friends who live there part time.
We are hiring a car and would like to take a road trip for 4 or 5 days whilst we are with them to give them a break from visitors!:D

We have a few ideas but it is quite hard to get a feel for the distances so here are a few things we have come up with....
    1. Bryce Canyon and the Zion National park
    2. Palm Springs
    3. San Francisco (maybe a stretch in that time).
    4. Yosemite

We have already been to LA and are in no rush to go back there or Southern
    California.

With all the knowledge here I was wondering what other people think/ have done/ or would advise.:A

Any input would be gratefully received.

I have found a website called Road trip America which is good but I always find personal experience is always more helpful.

    Thanks

    Lesley.

PS There will be 2 of us and no kids.
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

It's too early for offers for August. Keep checking Fat Wallet That link takes you to the last page where the lates offers are, but Page 1 is reguarly updated with all the offers.

The latest offer for MGM is only up to the end of May so August offers should be out in about 3 months time.
  • Am in Vegas for 6 nights in March after booking LITERALLY the cheapest flights I've ever seen with Opodo which is part of a package with rooms at Circus Circus (in the tower). has anyone stayed here and is it ok? Am tempted to just use the flights and book somewhere else, but do resent paying for somewhere and not using it... Or shall we stay there a few days and book some real luxury for the last few nights? Leave on a wednesday so should be able to get a good deal for the last two nights...
    THanks
