EDIT - I signed up and received a 10% voucher good for all RL Factory Stores until 13th Jan 09, so if this offer is no good for your dates, sign up for 10% off.

Ahh as im staying a week, ill give that a try... thanks for the advice :D

It may depend where you are staying - Caesars is more of an upscale place so I agree that an increased tip may be necessary as the price difference from their standard room to the upgraded rooms is much bigger...but we've managed to upgrade to a north tower room at Bally's from their standard room for 8 or 9 nights for a $20 tip several times...that's a $30/night upgrade if we just booked the north tower - just to give some idea of value...obviously an upgrade from the Forum Tower to the Augustus Tower is likely to be a much bigger jump.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

One of the guys I work with used a $20 at Ceasers for a 5 nights stay over the weekend and went from a standar room to a room in the Augstus tower with a jacuzzi and all sorts I will try and find the photos

Ferf1223, as we have booked Bally's North Tower (hotdeal- not a bad price and didn't know if I wanted to bother with $20 tip thing), will there be a good view like of the fountains or do I need to ask/tip for it?

I actually disagree the LV Hilton I think is a great resort I have stayed once about 10 years ago I like the calm and the quiet and the level of service is good. If it were on the Strip it may well be one of my choices

When it was built it was thought that the Strip would become wider to the East which has not happened (yet) itw as originally the international and top level luxury hotel. It was out on a limb a little bit and so they got Elvis in and this revived his career and that of the LV Hilton. Money was spent on the LV Hilton an they knew that they were going to struggle being that far off the Strip as it grew and improved so they looked at a different way to get people to stay there, LV Hilton was billed as a place you did not leave the resort good food, good bars, good spa, good casino and to top the trifle A List Headliner and Golf on site. The buffet there is great and includes unlimited wine and beer and the food in the coffee shop very good (only places I have eaten). The casino is nice and airy and has natural light (albeit tinted) and a huge sports book. I like and as long as we are in Vegas for a week or more we make a trip to LV Hilton, also the monorail is one of the few where the station is in a convient place for the casino and not a 15 minute walk from where you want to be. I would be very grateful if you managed to take some pics of the rooms and let me put them on my blog
