So if we don't go by helicopter what are the other options available? Don't really fancy going by bus and we all thought it would be good to go in a helicopter as none of us have been in one before.

I take it you can't go to the South Rim by helicopter then?

Yuo acn but its very expensive yuo can get a plane to South Rim and then take a helicopter trip from there overeth canyon and then you will be taken by coach to the rim this is a really good way to see it the South Rim is so much better than the West. I haev puts ome links to my pics to show you, I have tried to pick the best ones of each

It had crossed my mind to be honest......but I thought it was a bit cheeky :p. Now you've mentioned it though I am tempted, I guess if they say no we can just try and get an upgrade at the front desk with a tip.

If you do call them up let me know how you get on!! :T
We got upgraded to Augustus tower for $50 trick a coupele of visits ago. Used $50 as wew were staying a week. I think trets did the same. They have a lot of rooms and are trying to fill them, so a pretty good bet you will get an upgrade with a tip.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Local bookstores will have it...the website will say what other places have it (some casino gift shops will)...or you can order it from the ACG website - but I really wouldn't count on getting it delivered on time - they always seem to run late.

Barnes and Nobel and Borders usually stock it. Sign up for the Borders card, you will receive loads of discount stuff through email, we used a 30% off voucher and bought 3 ACG on a previous trip. a word of warning when buying in a book store. check the pages, people tend to come in and rip out the voucher pages and leave the book

I've e-mailed them to see if they would throw in an upgrade as part of mthe package I have already booked, if not I will definitely try the $50 trick (we are staying for just over a week).

The $20 is usually stated on U.S. sites because they only want 1 or 2 nights. Much harder to find you an upgrade if staying a week as you have to go through a weekend. 50 makes them look that much harder for you IMHO
