I loathed flying United LAS to LAX. We had booked with AA who were having weight problems so we took a bump. Not one member of United staff could manage to even crack a smile-right miserable bunch. If I'd pay to fly instead of getting paid to fly with them I'd have been really annoyed. Just made me vow never to fly them again-I had thought of it as a chance to try them out as we fly trasatlantic fairly often -but now they are off the list. I'm sure ALL their staff aren't that bad-but that was our experience.
As for new shows in Vegas....The best selling show show right now is Donny and Marie at the Flamingo-suitable for all the family lots of music from different genres and dancing. They cut their teeth (no pun intended :)) in Vegas and it shows-proper Vegas entertainment.

hi all, here we go on the trip,we flew out to chicago from manchester on the 9th sept with american airlines on an old 767 no seat back tv just ones in the aisle, cabin crew were all miserable.we were in chicago for 2 nights got the chicago go card, which we used for the gray line hop on hop off bus which stopped at all the sights we visted the hancock tower then to the alder planaterium which was a bit poor then to shedd aquarium which we both liked then to the field mueseum i wanted to see the t-rex wife wasnt that bothered then onto navy pire nd a boat trip, all these were paid for by the chicago go card which saved us about $55 a piece so not too bad.

    sept 11th
was up early to goto the airport to pick our car up as we travelled down route 66 to vegas, booked a comapct suv with national car hire as they had the cheapest drop -off fees of $199 compared to dollars $500,anyway got there and they said we couls have a full size suv there were only 2 left a red and silver toyota highlander's so chose the silver one it had 22k on the clock when we got to vegas it had 25700 on it so we get the car and my wife loves going to the outlet center so that was our first stop mhalf an hour away managed to get a free cou[on book with the chicago go card(and yes we know you can get em free if you sign up on-line but we forgot to print the vouchers out).the wife loves tommy hilfiger clothes so she was in their an hour lol, picked up shorts and trainers then on our way to St Louis, stopped by a wal mart for other little yhings on our way.
Gotta say the day we left Chicago was the day the rain started think in about 3 days they got 12 inches of rain
tat the first couple of days you want me to continue like this or just skip to vegas?

    continue dude!

American Airlines out of Manchester? or was it a code share? I didn't think AA went out of Manc?

Im travelling BMI (United Airlines) out of Manchester next year?
  • yep was aa wouldn't recommend then though,we flew back from vegas to chicago on a plane with more seat pitch and width than on the transatlantic flight
  • ... just booked our 5 night stay there over Christmas!

Decided to pay the extra $32 a night to upgrade to the Rialto Suite with 400sq ft extra space, and will try the $20 trick when we arrive to see if we can do better!

Am very much looking forward to eating at the Grand Luxe - there are so many options I'm not sure we'll eat anywhere else, especially with $50 off the bill!

    Thanks again.

    taa tho :D

Remember to check here for sign-up bonuses - sometimes it pays to sign up at one casino over the other in the same group.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Hey guys I always read this thread most days as it's Wealth of information:T,anyway
the missus and I are off to vegas again in a couple of weeks I just wondered what
your opions are on the MGM pool area versus the Flamingo pool area

We are both in our late 30's so I just wondered which would be more suitable for us

    Thanks
