Also, interestingly enough, it looks like weve got an Airbus, not a jumbo, on the way back. Very rare apparently for LAX/SFO. We're in cattle coming back, and it has seats in 2s all the way down the sides, and 4s down the middle, down to 3s at the rear. Have booked the seats one row behind where the 3s start.....should be maximum amount of space widthways there.
LAX flight is usually an Airbus to LHR, better than the 747 IMHO.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

4,5,8 and 9 are available both sides.....however surely if I go for the AK, Im shouting across the width of a jumbo, and if I go for AA or KK, I get the pain in the neck!!! 12 front row in the nosecone looks like it would be OK for an AK, but its gone.

Middle seats? 22 and 23 are available....23 looks like it backs onto the bar so maybe 22 then.

    Hey Froggitt,

VA dont use the 747's on LA only Airbus
for your outbound, A & K seats on the upper deck or nice as its quiet, front of the nose is really good, but I think you said they had gone ( careful of the bar area, as it does get a little busy on SFO)

Coming home, on a Airbus, it will be a night flight so try not to go too far back in seating as if you want to sleep, alot of pax come to the galley for drinks and use the loos. Other than that you will be fine. The config is 3-4-3 and until near the rear and then it goes 2-4-2

Hope you have a great time. UC is great and you will love the clubhouse, but like said, book a treatment in advance as it does get really busy

    Leaving on

    1/10/08 7 nights = £460 14 nights =£475

    5/10/08 7 nights =£570 14 nights =£588

    8/10/08 7 nights =£571 14 nights =£588

:angry::angry:   so pretty crap then . The saturday flights with them end on 15/10/2008 so hopefully that is when the good prices will start to come back.

It looks like 2-4-2, narrowing at the back to 2-3-2.

Not flown to Vegas on them but United are as good as any mate. Recently took two flights with them and they were spot on.

Went on Expedia.com to compare US prices....one of the cheapest flights from SFO to LAS took twelve hours.........via New York!!! It must have been less than the price of a ticket to New York.

I think I got a decent deal on Opodo for november. Flying to SFO from Heathrow (virgin) on the 3rd. Then flying from SFO to LAS on the 9th (us airways). Then home from LAS to Gatwick on the 15th (Virgin). All of it came to £500, which I thought was ok for 3 flights.
