Yes I read that this morning, not good news.

We are due to go on 13th October but now have a dilemma as to whether to cancel or not and go see another show instead. AS they bumped the premier back to 31 October our tickets have become preview seats which I'm sure I wont have any problem getting refunded. Hmmmm.

I really fancy the Jersey Boys too, I'm hoping a proper review comes out thats a bit more balanced than those comments. The guy even said in there that he didn't see the show.

Having still not seen "O" i cannot judge like for like , but Le Reve is the best show i have seen in vegas , or anywhere else for that matter.
$239 is a standard price to be fair and Im sure you will be able to beat that. However Im sure sometime in March is bad for some reason or other. I'm sure someone will be along to tell you what and when that is.

March Madness Basketball bumps up prices a lot ,and i think spring break is also around then
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Circus Circus is great (if you like kids) lol, seriously though the rooms are fine as long as you are not in the manor lodge rooms, so def ask for a tower room.

Tipping is almost compulsory to tip everyone, but it really is up to you, but if you search tipping in this thread, i am sure it will bring up lots of examples

    ok here goes last part
    sept 21st
leave lake havasu to goto Vegas,as we drive into California we get stopped by like a border control and asked if were we have come from and if we have any fruit and veg or meat(anyone know why),anyway we drive up to vegas call at a mall in henderson and then onto our 1st hotel in vegas the golden nugget, weve been 3 times to vegas and only ever been here for a hour to see the light show so decided to stay 2 nights for$170 short line at check-in so decide to try the $20 trick which got us an upgrade from the south tower to the north with the refurbished rooms with plasma tv which when we booked was $50 a night more so not bad for $20,take our car back to the car rental return and get a taxi back which we feel we got ripped off buy it cost $25 so little tip for him,so we get back and we both sign up to the players club at the nugget and get $10 free play with a coupon we gat at check-in(we got a free fun book when we checked in inc bogof buffets and stuff) anyway didnt win anything with the free play time to freshen up as its 6pm by now,we dont gamble much a few dollars in a slot and thats about it i like to play top gun slots there were loads back in feb but couldnt really find any in downtown,so we head to golddiggers bar and have a few drinks and watch a couple of the light shows then head to the carson st cafe.we order a starter to share and before we finish the waitress comes with our mains which we say we havnt finished our starters to which she replies we dont work like that you should have asked for me to put tour mains in after your starter i can put these to keep warm so we have them(decided then she wasnt getting a tip)nice meal if that hadnt happened and got $2 a person discount with the funbook
    22nd
    another day/night at the nugget
went to the buffet at the nugget which we had a voucher for bogof buffet good job as we thought it was a poor buffet, after brekkie wonder around the casino and try the ebay slot not bad really you have to rely on the free community spins to get some big money which when come in everybody playin gets,my wife then wants to try the pool so off she goes while i find a wizard of oz slot these are good fun and throw some good bonuses at you played with$10 for bout an hour then go join wife at the pool, the shark tank looks good but a small pool area that dosnt get much sun and all the sunbeds are so close togther there's no space between them to walk between so you have to jump on them,i spen an hour then off to find that wizaed of oz machine play for about 2 hours with my $10 and get up $25 then wife turns up and i lose it all, shes had enough of the pool as its too crowded and you have to keep following the sun and there building a new tower so there will be even less sun when that does up,so she wants to go shopping to the outlet there, loads of brits at this one all buying just anything i buy some shorts from reebox she hits tommy but when she checks out the tell her the prices are wrong on the stands and there more than what the signs say and wont change the price so she dosnt get much,i hit lacoste wow some bargain polo shirts here $50 ther 50quid and more her in england, then down to the fasion show mall dont buy much here just wonder around a bite to eat at the food court then back, the taxi from the outlet $20 the taxi from fashion show to the nugget$15 anyone know how they get so many different rates?.
dont do much at night watch the light shows a few drinks and slots and an early night
    tomorrow to the palazzo

By the way do you have to tip everyone?

So when you land if you are getting a cab you tip the cab driver when you get to the hotel (20% of bill or round up to the nearest dollar after) If you want a bell boy to get your bags just ask for one when you get out of the car. DO NOT TIP the guy who gets your bags from there, only tip when the bags are up to your room ($2 per bag) because the tips are pooled and you would be tipping twice. If you are getting a car the bus driver that takes you to the rental place ($2-$3 tops if he has helped you on and off with your bags) When you are in line to get a cab personally I would not tip the guy who hails the cab and opens your door for you but lots of people tip a dollar or two. If you are having a meal you do not tip the person that seats you, only the waiter 15-20%. Having a buffet? leave a couple of bucks at the end of your meal on the table, more if it's a fancier place. $1 per drink when ordering from a bar or cocktail waitress, if you want the latter to get around to you more often when playing the machines, give her a couple of dollars per drink for the first one, then step back after that. Playing table games, ONLY tip if you have won at the end of the session, no point in tipping and losing money as well, and only tip in relation to what you have won and feel comfortable with. If you use the valet at a hotel tip $2 ONLY when your car has been brought out to you, not when you drop it off. $2-$3 per day to the maids, leave it on the pillow where she can see it.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
