I'm hoping a proper review comes out thats a bit more balanced than those comments. The guy even said in there that he didn't see the show.

I would have thought his views were balanced. After all, he interviewed the already converted. Can't stand that Angel guy anyway, what a poser, reminds me of Blaine
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Ouch. Gonna cancel and spend my £150 elsewhere I think.

Any suggestions? Going to see O? Have seen Mystere, Ka and Blue man.

Thinking of Penn and Teller (Is it like their old TV shows?), Lance Burton, Jersey Boys or possibly phantom.

Don't want any nudey shows, Le Reve looks too similar to O for this trip and Im not sure I want to be dancing in the aisles (Jersey boys?) either.

Penn and Teller stunk IMO. just over an hour and a quarter on stage and they do about 6 tricks, oh, and some fire eating!!! And I was a big fan of the T.V. stuff. How about Carrot Top, really funny guy, and I think you can get the tickets at the half price booths. See if Elton is on, the best show I have ever seen in Vegas

If they put it in a machine to check it at the pool it will be cancelled the day you check out. Also, most hotels change the style of the cards every couple of months or so so will be obvious if it's an old one
I *heard* they change them every couple of months to try and stop the hookers getting past security at night.

booked our last 3 nights at the nugget which we did last year and really enjoyed, but we
have'nt booked for the previos 5 yet, going in 2 weeks and narrowed it down to mgm
west wing room or a go room, with whichhotel has the best pool area being the deciding factor

Stayed in both of those rooms, Go room is better by a country mile. West Wing rooms are so tiny. The trouble with the Flamingo is the casino, oh, and the buffet!!

... just booked our 5 night stay there over Christmas!

Decided to pay the extra $32 a night to upgrade to the Rialto Suite with 400sq ft extra space, and will try the $20 trick when we arrive to see if we can do better!

Am very much looking forward to eating at the Grand Luxe - there are so many options I'm not sure we'll eat anywhere else, especially with $50 off the bill!

    Thanks again.
Ditto!!!! Just gone for the bog standard room (!!!) and will see what a $20 gets us when we're there.

Booked six nights over Xmas - the cracking Venetian deal as above with the $50 a night food credit. Just need to book a couple of nights in SFO before, and a couple of nights in Vegas or on the way or in LAX afterthe Venetian.

Anyone else coming over Xmas? Might be nice to get together for a Grand Luxe meal one day.

Presumably the food options include Palazzo as well.....anyone know?

That's a shame, another off the list. I used to love the TV show.

Is Carrott Top an easy to get kinda comic? Don't want it too heavy, is the humour easily understood by us UK folk?

Really dont like Elton at all. Hmmmmm.

Just rang and cancelled the chris angel show. With the exchange rate dropping since booking Ive even made a few bucks in the process.

P&T is probably one of the most difficult shows to take on recommendations - stoneman hated it as he said, we loved it (also love the TV show)...so it's really relative.

I do agree with stoneman that Carrot Top is hilarious, and usually available at the 1/2 price booths if you get there early enough. We laughed ourselves silly...he's very prop oriented and very pop culture/current events oriented - very fast-paced. My English husband was totally not interested in the show (he only agreed to go because I really wanted to) and ended up loving it. Some of his bits may not quite hit the mark with you (when we saw it there were some things to do with American baseball players) but would say that the vast majority will be accessible to most. I wouldnt' take my in-laws to see it as too many of the pop culture references will be lost, but generally I think it's a great show for most.
