MayOh that is the car I want us to hire next year. Please please tell me what the boot size is like. Will it fit 4 suitcases in it? It looks big on the outside but is there plenty of legroom in the back for 2 growing teenagers?
Someone who lives up the road from us has this car and I have considered loitering outside his house until he opens up the boot and non-chalantly taking a peek, but I think it might be wise not toThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hi again
After much deliberation this year we have decided to stay at Caesars. Now I notice that there is some construction work going on around the site and wondered if anyone had been/stayed there recently and whether it affected them at all. The Venetian is also an option but like Caesars, theres some construction going on there.
Many thanks0 -

I own one of those. You will get 3 medium size suitcases in the boot and plenty of legroom in the back. The ones you hire are usually pretty basic, we hired one once from Dollar and there was no stearing wheel radio controls, no individule climate controls, no electric mirrors, and of course if you get the 5.7 hemi better look at about 15 to the gallon. Even the C300 will only get you about 20-25 they don't do diesel versions in the states. Why don't you just go to your local Chrysler dealer with 2 empty suitcases and ask to see if they fit, thats what we did before deciding to buy ours.
We don't have a local dealer here but fear not. OH and I went for a walk the other evening and he got the neighbour's son to show us the boot of the car.poor lad goodness knows what he thought lol

MarchAnyone got any experience of any of these

Seems like a decent deal but a bit dubius about where they get so many from?
There was a post I quoted recently where someone (nelsta I think) recommended this seller - maybe go back a page or two to find it. As for where they get them, they're free if you know where to look (I don't) or have connections with the clubs. You will see guys on the strip selling these as well, but for a much higher price.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchJust back from 7 nights at PlanetHo.
Welcome back and thanks for the report...sorry it wasn't the most awesome trip ever but it sounds like overall it was a nice getaway.
we also love PF Changs. It's the closest Chinese I have ever found to the long-closed Chinese from my hometown...the first time we tried it I was so amazed. The portions are pretty enormous - my husband and I like different things though so we always end up with 2 mains and sharing a rice dish...have learned not to order appetizers unless something really, really takes our fancy. I didn't realise that they were setting up outside seating...might be quite nice once CC construction is done.
Sorry you got sick and yeah, it seems like someone in that sort of a position shouldn't be allowed to work with clients. FWIW, a few years ago every time we get on a plane we take some Airborne - usually the day before, day of and day after flight. Since we started doing this neither of us has been sick once on holiday...whereas before, one or both of of us ALWAYS got sick...to us it's a bit of a miracle...but perhaps it's just coincidence...regardless, we'll keep using it!
Not sure if you can get it in the US (we buy it at WalMart or my sister posts some to us)...maybe there's a UK equivalent.

what time of year are you going? If pool time is a must then be aware that the Octavia tower is being constructed next to the Augustus tower, and there is a new building going up attached to the Roman tower, also some excavation work going on behind the far end of the pool. It was a nightmare in May, dust and noise all the time by the pool, we gave it a miss most days.
We are going this December so the pool will not be an issue. Was there much noise/disruption within the hotel? Have also just been sent a $95 a night deal for Caesars which seems good to me.0 -

Anyone have any experience of LA and places to stay?
We're having 3 nights there before we head up to Vegas and planning on Universal Studios, Hollywood, and maybe a day on the beach. Looking at the Comfort Inn near Universal (about 3 mile from hollywood apparently) just for somewhere to kip, not really fussed about 5* top of the range as we'll be doing that kinda thing in vegas hopefully.
After 12 days in Vegas we'll be returning to LA to catch our flight home and planning on a 2 day stint somewhere near the six flags the park, so again, any recommendations near there would be appreciated. We'll probably not bother hiring a car so it'll be cabs/hotel shuttles to take us to/from LAX to accommodation.
