Where are you travelling from and which airline and which website have you found the great deal? Would really appreciate the info.
    Thanks.

I'm travelling mid June with Virgin from London to Vegas (Mon) then a week and a half later from LAX back to London (Sat). The prices were £660 on Wednesday but on Thursday the prices were £460, saving of £200 per person. This is available through most sites, Virgin Direct, Expedia etc...

Hope this helps!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

re: quidco - I know you guys...I've been trying to tell people to use it and it seems they all think it's too much hassle...I don't understand that at all. My husband though, he was using Rpoints ages before I discovered quidco and I really never understood what he was on about...now I get it (and we check both to see what is the better deal).

re: Priceline - I would be really careful using Priceline unless you really understand how it works. Especially somewhere like Vegas - there are a couple of websites that can help you learn a lot about it - there's info here:

It makes me nervous as you won't know what hotel you've got (within the star category and location) until you're committed. Trump kinda screwed up the 5* on the strip as I understand you would always get Venetian if you were succesful with a 5* strip bid before. Once you go to 4* or 3* it opens up loads of options people might be disappointed with.

Thats certainly what im going to use mine for.

Just been looking through better bidding -people comparing their priceline wins- people getting 5* on North strip for $120 a night.

Im happy with the sig on this occasion but will be certain to try that out next time. :T

Do you gamble? If so, it's worth joining the players clubs as sometimes players can get really good offers or money off at the end of your stay...but not if you book through a 3rd party.

That's my big thing with the 3rd parties - if they're cheaper and people don't gamble much, then they're probably great. We spend quite a lot of time gambling (slots) and can do far, far better booking free and reduced rooms based on our play - so the 3rd parties won't come into it for us. Except for things like the hotels.co.uk Wynn screw up which saw us in a panoramic view room for £40ish/night. :)
We always booked rooms direct with the hotels our first three trips but never bothered to sign up for the players clubs as we assumed it wasn't worth it. Now we kick ourselves thinking how much we could have saved on the 2nd and 3rd trips had we joined on the first trip and checked what we were entitled to.

Technically I believe it is illegal, but everybody does it and its accepted practice.

Yowza. That's awesome. I was proud of my £300ish. Much work to do.

I learned about Quidco from the 2007 version of this thread - specifically the £20 you could earn by signing up for the PO credit card. I love it.

It's still rather incredible to me that they give you money for buying things you were going to buy anyway. :)

we have been able to take advantage of some really juicy deals .

i was able to get £75 cashback on the cheapest car insurance quote i could find.my wife got £50

wife wanted a new mobile and we £140 from Vodaphone for a new contract

though my best has be the Betfair deal we had just before the Grand Nat.
£50 quidco cashback sign up after betting just £25 ( meaning you were £25 up no matter if the bet lost)
but befair gave you a free £25 match bet on top of that . i placed the two £25 bets on the 2 favorites a day or so before the race and the free bet was on Comply or Die @ 12-1 . i have not counted the £300 ish we won that day in with Quidco earnings.

sorry if this is off topic a bit , but if you don't how to use quidco , i suggest it is time you tried it .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
