Thte original question was "buy from a local store" - thats the difference

Its fine to buy from the hotel shops are store and drink alcohol, it is technically a non-no to buy it elsewhere.

how bizarre! I've never heard of such a thing before...very strange.

But agree with you that it's not enforced...the groups of 20-something guys in the lifts with cases of beer would be in sooo much trouble otherwise. :)

Normally you would say that Bellagio/Caesars/Mirage/TI are central strip (and PH/Flamingo/Venetian/Wynn on the other side of the road), and thats just about walkable, so long as its not mid-summer. However, even Bellagio is north of Monte Carlo, which is the northernmost hotel shown on the photo.

Thats not to say MB, Luxor, TP, MGM arent great places to stay.........they are, but be aware that you wll be driving or getting a taxi or bus to most places.
OK - taxi, bus or monorail from southern strip hotels up to mid strip hotels.

I was making the point that Vegas wasnt build for pedestrians, and trying to walk from Mandalay Bay or Luxor to Fashion Show Mall in summer is a big no-no.:naughty:

book their fly drive and sort the hotel out youself
    seats are 33inch pitch
food is ok ..and usually free :)
Drinks are about 3 quid a miniature
Used them numerous times and apart from last flight home they have always been on time or early

You don't need a transfer - if you won't have a rental just take a taxi or a shuttle from the airport and then back at the end.

The airport is on the strip , so a taxi is probably going to be $20 at most .

if you do go with Thomas cook / my travel fly drive package ..remember the included car hire has next to none of the needed insurance included . it may well be cheaper to sort your own car hire out and not bother picking up the car hire included in the flight, as they sting you big time for it.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I've posted how to resize pics on Photobucket on another couple of threads and i'll do it on this one too. Pics that stretch the page are a bugbear of mine :o

Before uploading a pic , click on 'options' as circled in red below.

    pb.jpg

As shown below select which size you want. I've circled in red the 2 sizes which I think are most suitable. I use medium for the first page of this thread (i'm talking about the Everyone's Pics thread in the Arms) as I think large would be too big. I sometimes use large when i'm posting a pic of a cat (or a holiday pic) etc so more detail can be seen , but any larger than that stretches the page too much :naughty:

    pb2.jpg

When you've selected the size you want , just click 'save' and then upload your pic as usual. Easy peasy!

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
